About Tammy Toney-Butler: https://www.reflectivespacesministry.com/about
Hello, welcome. I'm Tammy Toney-Butler with Reflective Spaces Ministry. I'm a healing evangelist. And today I have a message for you. But I don't have the message for you. Because anyone who knows me knows that the Holy Spirit directs everything I do. The Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of God, the Spirit of Truth. Holy Spirit, come have your way in this time together. May they hear you and not me. May they see you and not me. May they have the courage to look inward and be forever changed by this word. May all those looking for purpose, looking for truth, looking to let go of the past and break into who you called them to be. Let this word penetrate bone and marrow and they forever be changed as they walk in the light and are no longer in the dark. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. Today, he wanted me to do a teaching for you as part of our message, our sermon series. But this one is called Come, a sermon on surrender. Wow. A sermon on surrender. So grab your Bibles. We'll be reading out of different parts of scripture and different books. And we're just going to let the Holy Spirit just have his way. The primary Hebrew verb for come is boh. When we look at Strong's H. nine thirty five and the sources on the page, this is the most frequent and versatile word for come. But it also means to go or enter a concept often described as entering a void to fill it. The English verb go. Generally means to move from a position nearby to a position far away. While the verb come means to move from a far position to a position nearby. An example would be, I will go to the store. Then I will come home. Did you see that? Move from a far position to to a position nearby? Isn't that what Christ wants for us? To move closer to him, to his Lordship, know him as a friend, a savior, draw close to him, and he'll draw close to you. That's what he's saying. Let's continue. The verb bow does not mean come or go in the sense of direction, but to enter a void in order to fill it in the sense of purpose. And as you draw closer to your Savior, Jesus, you will know your purpose. And he wants you to be so full of the Holy Spirit, filled without measure, so that he can flow you by living water to others and bring healing to their doorstep as he's brought to yours. At that time, the disciples came to Jesus and asked, who is greatest in the kingdom of heaven? He called a little child and set him before them. Matthew, eighteen, one, two out of the Amplified Bible. And said, I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless you repent, that is change your inner self, your old way of thinking, live unchanged, I'm sorry, live changed lives and become like children, trusting, humble and forgiving. You will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew, eighteen, three. Let me read that again. And I assure you and most solemnly say to you, unless you repent, that is to change your inner self, your way old way of thinking live change lives and become like children trusting humble and forgiving you will never enter the kingdom of heaven wow it's all about surrender it's all about surrender who are you surrendering to what voice are you listening to Are you surrendering to God's will for your life, walking in his truth, repeating his words, his promises over you? Or are you walking in darkness, opening doors to Satan and speaking words of destruction or curses over your life? It's all about surrender, realizing you're not in control. You never were. You couldn't help all those things that happened to you. They're not your fault. You have to forgive yourself, forgive others, and let go of what no longer serves you. In cases of those who've had trauma like myself, we have to let go of that victim mentality. And if you haven't listened to it already, go to the Reflective Hour episode. And I actually recommend that you watch that. That goes with this teaching. And it's the reflective hour episode that says, have you unpacked your gift? So go to www.reflectivehour.com. You can find it on YouTube or, you know, all the Apple podcasts and those. But listen to it. Have you unpacked your gift? And that talks to you about how to surrender and surrender that victim mentality if you don't know how. So that's a teaching that we did earlier. So it's all about surrender. Saying not my will, oh God, but yours be done. I recognize the work that Jesus did on the cross. I recognize that. And I'm ready to surrender. So this is an invitation for all who's listening. If you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and if you haven't surrendered to him and his will under his will for your life, if you haven't repented and asked him to come into your heart, there'll be a chance later for you to do so. But it's all about surrender, recognizing the work on the cross of Jesus, how he died on an execution stake on an old wooden cross as a criminal, took on the sins of the world so that you could walk in eternal forgiveness in Christ Jesus. Through his death and resurrection and his blood shed on Calvary, You are healed. You are whole. Whole. You just have to claim it and walk in it and know He's with you and accept Him as Lord and Savior of your life and invite His Holy Spirit to come live inside of you and make you fresh and new. That's the key to abundant life. That's the key. But it first starts with surrender. Let's keep going. Blessed, happy, prosperous to be admired are those who wash their robes in the blood of Christ by believing and trusting in him, the righteous who do his commandments so that they may have the right to the tree of life and may enter by the gates into the city. Revelation twenty two, fourteen out of the Amplified Bible. Are all you who are thirsty come to the water? There's that word again. You without money come buy and eat. Yes, come buy wine and milk without money. It's free. Isaiah fifty five one as a complete Jewish Bible. Why spend money for what isn't food? Your wages for what doesn't satisfy? Listen carefully to me and you will eat well. You will enjoy the fat of the land. Isaiah fifty five two out of the complete Jewish Bible. And now Isaiah fifty five three. Open your ears and come to me. There's that word come. There's that word come. Listen well and you will live. I will make an everlasting covenant with you. The grace I assured David. Come. is a divine invitation to discipleship and salvation. And that's what he's asking you today. Will you come? Will you follow me? Will you walk in my ways and in my truth? Will you allow me to be Lord and Savior of your life and change you from the inside out? You'll live an abundant life. Free from the condemnation of sin and death. You'll have eternal life. No fear. Perfect love casts out all fear. And you'll have strength like you never knew that you could possess. As it says in Isaiah forty thirty one. The following day, John was again standing with two of his disciples. As Jesus walked by John, looked at him and declared, look, there is the Lamb of God. John one, thirty five to thirty six of the NLT. When John's two disciples heard this, they followed Jesus. Jesus looked around and saw them following. What do you want? He asked them. They replied, Rabbi, which means teacher. Where are you staying? Come and see, he said. John one, thirty seven to thirty nine of the NLT. Look at that. Come and see. There's that word again. The next day, Jesus decided to go to Galilee. He found Philip and said to him, come follow me. There's that word again. Philip was from Bethsaida, Andrew and Peter's hometown. And that was John one, forty three to forty four of the NLT. Now John one, forty-five out of the NLT. Philip went to look for Nathaniel and told him, we have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about. His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth. Now we have even another account here of them calling Jesus the Messiah. We have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about. His name is Jesus, the son of Joseph from Nazareth. Just like the woman at the well and that teaching that I told you to go to on reflective hour, that message. We talked about the woman at the well and how God used, how Lord Jesus used her to spread his message that he was the Christ. He used a sinner. He used a sinner, a woman, to spread his message that he was the Christ. That should give you all hope, those of you who are struggling, those of you who've sinned. You're never too full of sin that you can't approach Jesus and the throne of grace and mercy and his unforgiving. I'm sorry, in his forgiving love. Because unforgiveness is not your portion. Healing is your portion. Wholeness is your portion. He died so we could have eternal life. He washed the woman at the well, clean by his blood shed on Calvary. She had no idea when she was sitting with him at that well, that he would later bleed for her. How many of you have unpacked that gift of salvation that he so freely offers and know that he died a criminal's death, beaten, battered, bruised and bled out so you could live free this day, this day, this day. And truly take part in all that he has for you. Let's keep reading. Nazareth, exclaimed Nathaniel. Can anything good come from Nazareth? Come and see for yourself, Philip replied. See there, even Philip, come and see. Speak in Jesus's own words, come and see. And that's what he's saying to you, come and see. And one day, that's what you'll say to others. Come and see. As we strive to draw closer in relationship with Jesus, becoming disciples, mirror images of Christ on earth. As they approached, Jesus said, now here is a genuine son of Israel, a man of complete integrity. How do you know about me? Nathaniel asked. John one forty seven to one forty eight of the NLT. Then Nathaniel exclaimed, Rabbi, you're the son of God, the king of Israel. Jesus asked him, do you believe this just because I told you I'd seen you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this. John one forty nine to fifty of the NLT. And now in fifty one, then he said, I tell you the truth, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God going up and down on the son of man, the one who is the stairway between heaven and earth. He is the stairway between heaven and earth. You cannot get to heaven. And the glory and the peace that it offers, the eternal life it offers. unless you use the stairway, which is Jesus. You have to step in agreement with Jesus, come under His Lordship for your life, surrender it all to Him, and walk His way to abundant life, because He's the only way to the Father. And that's through the son, which is Jesus. Then he said to him, yes, indeed, I tell you that you will see heaven open and the angels of God going up and coming down on the son of man. John one fifty one of the complete Jewish Bible. One day, as Jesus was walking along the shore of the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon, also called Peter and Andrew, throwing a net into the water for they fish for a living. Matthew four, eighteen out of the NLT. Then we'll continue with nineteen and twenty. Jesus called out to them, come, there's that word again, follow me and I will show you how to fish for people. And they left their nets at once and followed him. They didn't procrastinate. They didn't speak curses over themselves. They didn't say, well, maybe tomorrow. They knew at that moment that was an invitation from God himself to something far greater than they even could imagine. But they wanted to walk by faith and walk towards it. It was drawing them in. And that's what he's trying to do to you today. To draw you in. To say, follow me. Let go of what no longer serves you. Come and follow me. Will you follow me? Will you come? Will you be my disciple? Will you surrender it all to me? Will you come under my lordship for your life? Will you say no to your own plans and say yes to mine? Nevertheless, not my will be done, but yours, oh God. That's what he's calling you to do today. No more procrastinating. No more partnering with the world. Come out of the world and draw nigh to Christ, to the throne. Let's keep reading. Now, twenty one and twenty two. Again, Matthew four of the NLT. A little farther up the shore, he saw two other brothers, James and John, sitting in a boat with their father, Zebedee repairing their nets, and he called them to come too. They immediately followed him, leaving the boat and their father behind. How many of you are procrastinating? Saying, well, I know he's calling me. I know he's tugging at me. but I've got too much debt to stop what I'm doing and to walk his way. Or I have too many family trials that are going on and I need to address that first. Yet he's calling you to put first the kingdom of God and all else shall be given unto you. That means peace in your home. That means financial freedom in so many ways as he teaches you how to be a good steward and to draw on his promises and give you creative inventions and all these things. Because it's not his will that any shall perish. It's not his will that we're in lack. It's not his will that we have poverty. It's not his will that we are begging, you know, for bread and he gives us a stone or we want a fish and he gives us a serpent. No, he's a good father. He's a good father. I will supply all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus. But are you in Christ Jesus? Have you surrendered and come under his lordship? Are you under his lordship? Are you surrendering to his call for your life? Or are you putting yourself on the throne, walking in misery, refusing to let go of things that he's called you to surrender and leave behind? For you know the way, for his sheep know his voice. What will you do? He's asking you. Will you leave your boat and your father behind? Will you follow me? This is the hour you must decide for he's coming for his bride and we must be ready. Will you follow him completely? Be sold out for Jesus. One of those Jesus followers. Will you do that for him? That's what he's asking. That's what he's saying. Are your ears open to hear and your eyes to see? Then Jesus said, come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you because I am humble and gentle at heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear and the burden I give you is light. Matthew eleven, twenty eight to thirty out of the NLT. There's that word again. Come, come to me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest. Come to me. He's inviting you to come to him, to come to him. Will you say yes? Will you say yes? Will you say yes? Come to me all of you who are struggling and burdened. And I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me because I am gentle and humble in heart. And you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light. Matthew, that is. See that? Come to me and I will give you rest. Rest for your souls, spiritual rest, the ability to sit still and just be at peace, even though the world is chaotic and falling apart around you. Even though the world is chaotic and falling apart around you. To be able to enter into rest is so powerful. It's so mighty. Don't focus on the news, the newspapers, social media, and those things. Focus on the truth of the cross, on the truth of the cross. Enter into his spiritual rest. If you're in unrest, if you have anxiety, if you have depression and those things, have you asked him? to help you surrender those things to him? Is his Holy Spirit living inside of you and guiding you? And if it is, say, Holy Spirit, help me. It's hard for me. I can't do it in my own strength. Help me to surrender this addiction. Help me to surrender this depression. Help me to surrender those bad thoughts, my bursts of anger. Help me Help me to let go of what no longer serves me or no longer serves you as I strive to follow you and achieve the goal through the good fight of faith to where I enter into purpose, into my kingdom identity, into the reason I was born and walk in union with your will for my life and for your kingdom. Those are questions you need to answer. He's asking you these questions. Search inward for the answer. And he gives grace generously, as the scriptures say. God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble. So humble yourselves before God, resist the devil, and he will flee from you. James four, six to seven NLT. Humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Come close to God and God will come close to you. There's that word again. Wash your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts for your loyalty is divided between God and the world. James four, eight NLT. He's asking you to come out of the world. Come out of the world's ways. Walk in purity of purpose. Let his Holy Spirit guide you. Walk as a spirit-filled Christian, a believer in Yeshua. Walking in his truth, under his protection, under his lordship. John one fifty one of the amplified. Then he said to him, I assure you and most solemnly say to you, you will see heaven open and the angels of God ascending and descending on the son of man. The bridge between heaven and earth. Jesus is the bridge. That gets you to heaven. There's no other way. Jesus is the only bridge. Will you travel on his bridge? He became the bridge when he died on the cross at Calvary. Conquering sin by his death and resurrection. He became our bridge to eternal life. The only way. The only way. He who ever believes in him should have everlasting life. John three, sixteen, for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life, eternal life. You have to believe on Jesus. You have to surrender to Jesus. Let's look at Revelations twenty two, twelve to thirteen out of the NLT. Look, I am coming soon. Bringing my reward with me to repay all people according to their deeds. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Now, let's look at Revelation twenty two, fourteen through fifteen out of the NLT. Blessed are those who wash their robes. They will be permitted to enter through the gates of the city and eat the fruit from the tree of life. Outside the city are the dogs, the sorcerers, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idol worshipers, and all who love to live a lie. What does your life say about you? Are you professing Jesus, but in an unholy union? One that you know is sin? Are you calling good evil and evil good? Are you following Christ in all you do? If someone looks at your life, will they see Jesus? Will they know Jesus? Jesus knew no sin. He walked flawlessly on this earth. He was God incarnate, fully man, fully God, and perfect. Do you resemble him with your actions? Do you have Jesus's heart, his love for people, his grace, his humility? He used a woman at the well. He healed a woman of the issue that she had with bleeding. She only had to grab hold of the hem of his garment. He's calling you to grab hold of the hem of his garment. To reach out in faith, trust, obedience. Surrendering those old things that no longer serve you. And walking on that bridge of life to your eternal home in Christ Jesus. That's what he's calling you to do today. Revelation twenty two sixteen of the NLT. I, Jesus, have sent my angel to give you this message for the churches. I am both the source of David and the heir to his throne. I am the bright morning star. He's coming for his bride. Will you be ready? Will you be found without spot or blemish? What does your life say? Your actions, your words, your interactions with others. What do they say about you? Do people look at you and see Jesus? Do they? Revelation twenty two, seventeen of the NLT, the spirit and the bride say come. There's that word again. Let anyone who hears this say come. Let anyone who is thirsty come. And remember, Jesus said he's the living water. If you drink from this well, you'll never thirst again. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life. See that the water of life. The water of life. Revelation twenty two, twelve to thirteen out of the complete Jewish Bible. Pay attention, says Yeshua. I am coming soon and my rewards are with me to give to each person according to what he has done. I am the A and the Z, the first and the last, the beginning and the end. Revelation twenty two, fourteen of the complete Jewish Bible. How blessed are those who wash their robes so that they have the right to eat from the tree of life and to go through the gates into the city. They have the right to go through the gates into the city. There's only one bridge, that's Jesus. There's only one gate, that's the narrow gate. That gets you to eternal, to eternal life. Broad is that way to destruction, but narrow is the gate to life, the path to life, the way to life. Revelation twenty two, fifteen out of the complete Jewish Bible. Outside are the homosexuals, those involved with the occult and with drugs, the sexually immoral murderers, idol worshipers and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. That practice is deception. What do your actions say about you? Are you committing acts of adultery? Are you in a homosexual relationship? Are you partnering with evil and calling it good? Jesus came not to condemn you, but to set you free, for you to understand that the wages of sin is death, to walk in rebellion, to walk against God's will for your life, to not accept the spirit of truth, spirit of Christ that is so freely offered to you in the gift of salvation. To turn your back on all those things brings eternal death to your door. He's coming for his bride. Will you be ready? Will you be washed clean, purified, doing his will when he finds you, bringing others into the kingdom of God, out of the kingdom of darkness? Will you be spreading his truth? Are you still so embedded in the world that when people look at you, they don't see Jesus. They see the world in you. Come out of the world and come into me. That's what he's saying to you this season. That's what he's saying to you now before time runs out. Yeshua I, Yeshua, have sent my angel to give you this testimony for the Messianic communities. I am the root and offspring of David, the bright morning star. Revelation twenty two sixteen out of the complete Jewish Bible. This is a message. For the church. I'm coming for my bride. Will you be ready? Or will you be found to have compromised? I know it's difficult. I know it's hard. Repent is the courage to trust and turn and walk his way. That was one of Priscilla Shire's sayings. We have to repent and walk his way. The hour is near. He's closer than he's ever been to coming. Will you be ready? Will you be ready? Will you be ready? And bow your heads and let's pray. Heavenly Father, I pray for all those who are struggling right now, who are not sure if they followed you in the way that you needed them to. Father, I pray that they come into clarity with this prayer, that they reach for you like the woman with the issue of blood. Let them call out to you in the middle of their pit of despair and seek you, the healer. the Comforter, the Redeemer. I pray for all those that don't know Jesus as their Lord and Savior, that right now they call out to you, that they call out to you and say, Lord Jesus, I know, I know you're the Son of God. I know that you walked this earth, that you died on the cross. shed your blood on Calvary, rose again and is seated in heavenly places to the right of the Father. I know you died so I could live. And I accept you as Lord and Savior of my life. I surrender my will for your will, O God. Lord Jesus, become Lord and Savior of my life. And Holy Spirit, Come dwell inside of me, the Spirit of Christ, the Spirit of God, and make me fresh and new. And with this prayer, I believe I've been saved and am now a new creature in Christ Jesus. And I will walk in the fullness of all that he has for me. Oh, that's my prayer for all of you. And any one of you who prayed that prayer, please reach out to us at info at reflectivespacesministry.com. You can use the QR code on the screen and you can scan it and it'll take you right to our website and there'll be contact information there. Don't hesitate to reach out. We can send you literature if you've just accepted Christ as your Lord and Savior. Oh, Jesus. Holy Spirit, we pray all these things in your name, Jesus. I pray for everyone listening, oh Jesus, that they have peace, strength, fresh oil in their lamps, and healing. I just pray healing over them, Jesus. Healing Let every wound that's raw be healed in the name of Jesus. Walk in abundant life. Walk in abundant life. Walk in abundant life. Walk in abundant life. Oh, Jesus. Oh, Jesus. Let's finish it out with scripture. Revelation twenty two seventeen of the complete Jewish Bible. The spirit and the bride say come. Let anyone who hears say come and let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who wishes take the water of life free of charge. Free of charge. Free of charge. It's free. It's free. It's free. Salvation is free. You can't earn your way to heaven by doing good things. You gotta, you gotta go on the bridge of life. That's the only way to get to heaven. Works won't get you there, but it's believing on Jesus. on his Lordship and surrendering to his will for your life. That's how you get there. By you surrendering to Jesus and asking his Holy Spirit to dwell inside of you, you receive the strength, the power that you need to let go of the things that no longer serve you, of the drug addiction, the porn addiction, the food addiction, Of depression. Of shame. Of guilt. Of bitterness. Of hate. Of all those things. It is in his strength that we overcome. By the blood of the lamb. And the power of your testimony. We overcome. Reach out to him. He's waiting. He's waiting. Come. Come. He's waiting. Draw close to him and he'll draw close to you. Come. That's the invitation. That's what he's asking you. Come to me, all you who are weary, and I'll give you rest. Wow, I think that's all that he has for you today in this sermon, this teaching. On behalf of Reflective Spaces Ministry, I'm Tammy Toney-Butler, Healing Evangelist, President and Founder and Survivor Leader. I've struggled. I've fallen short of the glory of the Lord. I've sinned, but he set me free from it. And I now walk in fullness and I want all of you to walk in fullness. It is time to get Egypt out of God's people. The generational family oppression ends and that true freedom begins in America and around the world and God's people. God bless you and keep you. May his light shine upon you in all that you do. Go out victorious in Christ Jesus this day and every day. God bless you.
