About Tammy Toney-Butler: https://www.reflectivespacesministry.com/about
Welcome everybody to the Reflective Spaces Ministry podcast, teaching, sermon, whatever you want to call it. It's a message that he has for you today. I'm Tammy Toney-Butler, Healing Evangelist. We all know who though is the host of this show and everything that we do, and that's Christ. by way of his Holy Spirit, the Holy Spirit of truth that works in and through us to deliver his message to you, to the world. Oh, Holy Spirit, come have your way in this time that we have together. May they hear you and not me, see you and not me. May any veil be lifted off. Any area where there's confusion, let there be clear sight, clear spiritual sight. Let there be clear vision. Let there be clarity, no confusion. Let this word penetrate bone and marrow and let them forever be changed. In the powerful name of Jesus, I pray. Amen. Today's episode or teaching is on deliverance. Deliverance. How many of you need deliverance? How many of you are searching for something? How many of you need healing in your body? How many of you need healing in your finances? How many of you need a change? A heart posture renewal? A firm foundation from which to stand on? How many of you need that? A change? in your circumstances. How many of you need faith to see you through as you speak to those mountains in your life and cast them into the sea? How many of you need hope? How many of you need healing? How many of you need a change. Today's episode, teaching, is going to speak to your heart and show you the truth about your circumstances, your feelings. It's going to reveal to you the secret to success as a Christian, as a believer. as a follower of Jesus Christ, as we look to the word for answers, as we search our hearts and strive to have the heart of Christ in the mind of Christ. So let's dive in a little bit to this teaching. What does it mean to be delivered? Who else got delivered in the Bible? What did Jesus deliver us from? And why does it matter? Why does it matter? Wow. Tough questions. But they have answers. When we look at deliverance and the definition of it, It's a rescue and release from danger, captivity, or oppression. But when we take it a step further, we realize biblically that deliverance is primarily freedom from sin and from spiritual bondage. It's where we get set free from demonic influences, negative spiritual forces. Because remember, we don't wrestle against flesh. That's what it says in Ephesians. So deliverance is being set free or pardoned from sin and spiritual bondage or death. Because we have a life sentence. We had a life sentence. before Jesus came as our deliverer. He is our source of freedom. He died so we could live free from the bondage of sin for the wages of sin is death. He died so we could live. Do we believe it? Do we know it? Do we walk in it? Do we focus on his work on the cross and him as a deliverer? Or do we have doubt and question? Was I really healed? I know pastor prayed for me or the evangelist prayed for me. I know I felt the power of God go into me. But could it be that it actually worked? that I was actually healed. You see, unbelief can slip in and try to destroy the seeds of faith that have been planted. The devourer comes to try to dig up the word, destroy the seed before it takes root. It births a tree of life, a tree of hope, a pathway to wholeness, to the deliverance, the freedom that being a follower of Christ Jesus brings. Are you struggling? Are you struggling to stay in faith when the darkness is all around you? When your circumstances look bleak, when you keep pulling yourself out of that miry pit, can you truly believe that God has delivered you, even if you can't see it right now? Maybe you have two dollars in your bank account. Maybe you have credit card debt. Maybe you have a child that's on the streets or one struggling with addiction. Maybe you have one living in another city and you don't even know what's going on with them. Maybe you have one you don't even know where they are. Maybe you're in an abusive marriage. Maybe you're in a relationship you know you shouldn't be in. Maybe you're coping through various addictions. And what you need to do is let go and let God. And realize that God is omnipresent. He's everywhere. And would you rather a God that's everywhere take over and take charge of your life? Or would you rather Try to do things in your own power, in your own strength and manipulate and control an outcome. You see, as Christians, as believers, we accept the Lord Jesus into our heart. We pray that prayer and we repent of our sins and we ask Jesus to come into our heart. And we know he died on the cross and he rose again. We can say that prayer. But do we truly, truly submit and surrender to his lordship over our life? To where we say not our will be done, but yours, O God. Deliver us, O God. Deliver us from ourselves, O God. Because even though we're out of Egypt, Egypt can still be in us. We can still... Make choices based on survival mode, trauma responses. Go down pathways that are familiar to us, even though they aren't good pathways. Even though they lead to destruction. Even though we would rather be in a chaotic environment than embrace the stillness. quietness of a comfortable, peaceful wholeness that comes from knowing Jesus. A peace that surpasses all understanding when we let Jesus come into our heart and truly be Lord and Savior of our life. And we ask His Holy Spirit to dwell inside of us and make us fresh and new. I'll give you an invitation to towards the end to do that if you've not done that. For a lot of years, I had religion, but I didn't have a relationship with Jesus. I didn't know him as my Lord and Savior. I didn't submit to his will. Instead, I tried to manipulate outcomes, do my own thing, force outcomes, instead of just letting go and letting God. And looking at his work on the cross, And that he is our deliverer. He is our burden bearer. He is our way maker. So when we look at Christ as a deliverer, we look at God and him being such a good father and what he's done, you know, by sending his only begotten son, that whosoever believes on him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. And we look at scripture to guide us when we look at Mark four, thirty five to forty one, where Jesus rebukes the storm and becomes a place of refuge. When we look at Ruth two and we see how, you know, Boaz was a deliverer for Ruth. And how he. became her protector and her kinsman redeemer. And we will look at Isaiah, and the promises there of being set free from oppression, wearing garments of praise instead of heaviness, beauty, Instead of ashes. We look at Romans eight and nine and see the power of what Jesus did. On the cross for folks like us. When we look at Genesis forty five seven and we see how. We see the rescue of Joseph's family. And how God was a deliverer there. We look at Genesis three and we go back to looking at being under curses in the Old Testament. And remember that the land became cursed with the fall of man when Adam and Eve sinned in the garden and there was a separation between God the Father and man. But yet then we have the hope, the redemption, the reconciliation that Christ brought through his death, burial, resurrection, through his work on the cross, the blood shed on Calvary. By his stripes, you were healed, realizing that Jesus did such a work on the cross that so that we could be reconciled, our relationship with God. The veil was torn. There was no longer a separation. That those of us that are in Christ Jesus and believe in Jesus and his work on the cross and made him Lord and Savior of our life, that we enter into a spiritual family, inheriting that promise of the Holy Spirit, guiding us, strengthening us, and keeping us. And I just want to read a little bit of that Luke four, um, eighteen to nineteen out of the Life Application Study Bible, the New International Version. And actually, yeah, I'm going to start. It says, the spirit of the Lord is on me because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor. And we know that Jesus is quoting Isaiah sixty one one and two that he's reading from the scrolls. And he said, then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue was fastened on him. And he began by saying to them, today, this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing. Wow. When we further look. at Isaiah, and we'll read it out of the Amplified Bible. But he was wounded for our transgressions. He was crushed for our wickedness, our sin, our injustice, our wrongdoing. Remember, he became a pardon for us, pardoning us from that death sentence, that life sentence, that sin brought to us before Christ redeemed us. The punishment required for our well-being fell on him and by his stripes, his wounds, we are healed. First Peter two, twenty four, the Amplified Bible. He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross, willingly offering himself on it as on an altar of sacrifice. Remember, he became the lamb sacrifice. So that we might die to sin, becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin and live for righteousness. For by his wounds, you who believe have been healed. You have been healed. And John eight, thirty six out of the Amplified Bible, the classic edition. So if the sun liberates you. Makes you free. Men. then you are really and unquestionably free. He who the Son sets free is free indeed. And so that's what we know to be true. When we look to Christ as our deliverer, recognizing the work he did on the cross, And all that he brings and offers to us as believers, recognizing that healing is our portion, that we don't have to walk around sick or in need or, you know, in a position of lack. We don't have to walk in that because as Christ followers, we have access to the truth. We have access to the healing that comes by being believers. Because remember, the curse of the law has been done away with. So as long as you believe on the Son of Man, on Jesus, as long as you make him Lord and Savior of your heart and life, as long as you've repented of your sins, if you turn and you said, you know, Lord Jesus, I want you to be my Savior. And I want you to be Lord of my life. And I know you died on the cross. And I know you rose again. And I know you're seated in heavenly places with the Father. And I know you're coming back. When you know those things and you become part of the family, a believer, part of the fateful remnant, then you have eternal life offered to you. You don't have to partner up with sickness because healing is your portion. because he died on the cross, an old wooden cross, a tree and curse was anyone who hung on a tree. He took all those curses on the cross. So healing is indeed your portion. And I need you to believe that and I need you to understand that and I need you to walk in that and recognize that because so many of you are getting your healing And you're getting prayed over and you know it and you feel the power of God that's going into you. But yet when you leave the assembly, when you leave the healing meeting, then the devil tries to come kill, steal and destroy and take that healing from you. And you just have to say, Satan, the Lord Jesus rebukes you. It is written. I know that I've been healed. I felt the power of God go into me. And I know it exactly, eight oh eight p.m. when I was standing up and had the hands laid upon me at the church that I was healed. I know I was healed. I know I don't have cancer. I know sickness is not my portion. I know that I know that I know God is true. His word is true. And Jesus's work on the cross. His bloodshed on Calvary healed me and set me free. And I'm claiming it and walking in it and I'm never looking back from it. And premature death and cancer and addiction and diabetes and depression. None of that's my portion. And I'm not partnering up with it. He who the sun sets free is free indeed. And you walk by faith and not by sight and you use your sword and you get that word into you. So if the sun liberates you, makes you free men, then you are really an unquestionably free. You let that word penetrate bone and marrow, and you say it over and over again. And you look at first Peter two, twenty four, where he personally carried our sins in his body on the cross, willingly offering himself on it as on an altar sacrifice so that we might die to sin, becoming immune from the penalty and power of sin and live for righteousness. For by his wounds, you who believe have been healed. You've been healed. Healing is your portion. And we look. At Kenneth E. Hagen's book, Healing Belongs to Us. And we look at page forty. Forty two. I want to start with page forty two, because this is what the Holy Spirit really pointed out to me. And let's see here. I think it was forty two. Yeah. Or was it forty two or forty three? Let me just get this. No, it was forty forty four. Apologize. I once laid hands on a man facing major surgery. but he didn't receive healing. He kept returning to my meetings. One night he told me I was in that healing line and didn't receive my healing. But after hearing you teach, I can see where I missed it. I didn't try to believe or receive anything. I thought if you had it, it would work. Now I see I have my part to play. You have your part to play in the healing. We lay hands on you. We... profess you're healed and declare it and know it. And the power of God shoots into you. But you must stay in faith and you must profess it with your mouth over and over. I've been healed. I've been healed. I've been healed. No matter what, when a symptom comes, you say, no, I've been healed. I'm not going to partner up with that. That's not my portion. I've been healed. I am supposed to go to the hospital Friday morning. They want to keep me there several days to build me up for this operation, but I'm not going. I'll be back here Friday night for that special laying on of hand service. Friday night, he is the first one in that line. I said, well, I see you're here. Yes, he said, I'm here. I'll receive my healing too. Just put your hands on me. He was instantly healed and he never had to have that operation. I heard from his pastor several years later that he was still healed. I've seen people filled with the Holy Spirit in the same way. They came to be filled, but they didn't receive it when I laid hands on them. Nevertheless, they kept coming back to the services. And as their faith was built up by listening to the word of God, remember faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God being taught, they received the infilling of the Holy Spirit. Many times I tell people to look at their watch as hands are laid on them and believe they receive their healing then, whether there is a physical manifestation or not. I've seen people with terminal cancer and other extreme cases healed that way. There wasn't any manifestation at the moment, but they simply looked at their watch and said, that's it. Praise God. I accept it now. Then the manifestation came. Again, reading Healing Belongs to Us by Kenneth E. Hagan. You must stay in faith. Those of you that are facing that diagnosis, you must stay in faith. And you have to know that Jesus died to deliver us. from those curses. We're not under the curse of the law anymore. We're not under generational curses. We're not under the sickness, the disease, the plagues, those things. That's not our portion as believers in Christ Jesus. Remember, we get to have on earth as it is in heaven. There's no sickness in heaven. There's no disease in heaven. There's no lack in heaven. No poverty in heaven. There's none of that. There's peace and joy and eternal life. But we don't have to wait till we get to heaven to claim those things. Heaven is in us. Jesus is in us. Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. We are the temple of the Lord. Heaven is on earth. We get to feel his presence, walk in his healing and his joy and his peace. The Holy Spirit is with us. Jesus is in us, working through us. We have to remember that when the world wants to put negative news, negative circumstances, pile curses on us and the darkness threatens to invade us every time we turn on the news or look at social media, you can become so overwhelmed with your circumstances and your feelings, but we don't go by feelings. We go by the word of God. We don't get to have opinions. We follow Jesus. We get to consult the Holy Spirit and have the Holy Spirit speak to us. The truth, the truth into the situation. He's our helper. We have a deliverer. We have Jesus. We have Jesus. We don't have to walk in shame and fear and regret and self-loathing. We don't have to walk in any of those things. We don't have to walk in any of those things, not as followers of Christ Jesus. We get to walk in freedom and abundant life. That's that message that he has for you today. And I don't know who it's for, but I want you to know that you have been made a new creature in Christ Jesus. And those things are not your portion because you're a believer. You're a believer. And you recognize the work on the cross. So don't partner up with things. Don't speak curses over yourself. Don't sabotage your own healing. Don't sabotage your own recovery. Don't sabotage your own recovery. Walk in his light. Walk in his truth. Walk in the deliverance. that he's already paid a price for, for you to have, for us to have. We've been reconciled through the ministry of reconciliation, through the work done on the cross, through the bloodshed. So remember it and walk in it and know who you are and whose you are in Christ Jesus. And if there's anybody watching that doesn't know Jesus, that doesn't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, then I want you, and you want to, I want you to repeat after me, Lord Jesus, I know you died on the cross. I know you're the son of God. You died so I could live and have life. You shed your blood on Calvary. You rose from the dead and you ascended and are seated in heavenly places with Father. Abba, Father. And I know you're coming back, Jesus. So I profess that you're Lord and Savior for my life. I repent of myself as I turn from the old way. And I want you to help me. I want you to help me walk in new abundant life. I want you to be Lord and Savior in my life. And I want your Holy Spirit to live inside of me. I want your Holy Spirit to make me fresh and new and help me, help me with this life. Help me as I live in this world. I want your Holy Spirit to help me. I want you to be my guide. I know you're my deliverer. I know you've set me free. And I want to walk in that freedom. I want to walk in all that you have for me this day. I know that with this prayer, I'm saved. With this prayer, I'm free. And he who the son sets free is free indeed. And I know that with this prayer. And I know, I know that I know that I know that you're with me. If any of you prayed that prayer and you accepted Lord Jesus Christ as your savior, welcome to the family. And don't hesitate to reach out to me at info at reflectivespacesministry.com. You can scan the barcode. It'll take you right to our website. If you choose and you want to sow into the word, anyone listening, you know, you can tithe into the word. That's between you and the Holy Spirit. I leave that between you and the Holy Spirit. We're one with Jesus. We have abundant life. We have to know it and walk in it. We have to choose life. We have to choose wholeness. We have to choose every day that we're going to believe the word of God. We're going to believe the word of God. And we're not going to partner up with the lie of the enemy. Every day we're going to know when we look at Isaiah forty and I'm reading out of the complete Jewish Bible. Haven't you known, haven't you heard that the everlasting God, Adonai, the creator of the ends of the earth, does not grow tired or weary? His understanding cannot be fathomed. He invigorates the exhausted. He gives strength to the powerless. Young men may grow tired and weary. Even the fittest may stumble and fall. But those who hope in Adonai will renew their strength. They will soar aloft as with eagle's wings. When they are running, they won't grow weary. And when they are walking, they won't get tired. Or some versions say grow faint. We get to have that. We get to have peace. We get to have freedom. We get to be set free and healed and made whole. Cancer is not our portion. Depression is not our portion. Lack is not our portion. But we have to partner up with what God is saying about us and his word and the promises of his word. And we have to speak life. He spoke the world into existence. So we can't partner with the darkness. We have to partner with the light. We have to say, I believe you, Father. I know you've got more for me. I trust you, dad. And even though I can't see a way out of this situation, out of this pit, I know you've got me. I know you've got me because you're my deliverer. You're the answer. You're the promise. And all I need to do is fix my eyes on you in the storm because you're my refuge. You're my ever present help in trouble. You're my refuge. You're my refuge, my deliverer. And I'm going to fix my eyes on you, Jesus, and not on the world and not on the economy and not on what's going on in Facebook and other social media outlets. And I'm not going to focus on what's on the news or there's MSNBC or Fox or CNN or whatever it is. I'm going to focus on the light and truth and the infallible word of God. I'm going to walk in abundant life. I'm going to walk in freedom. I'm not afflicted. I'm not cursed. I'm a daughter of the king or a son of the king. I'm royalty. I'm fearfully, beautifully and wonderfully made. I'm fearless. I'm victorious. And this is my season. This is my year. And I'm more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus. That's what I'm going to focus on. And I'm going to know that I've been delivered and that I've been set free and that I've been healed. And I'm going to walk in that. You're going to walk in that. You're going to walk in that. You're going to walk in that. Lord Jesus, help them. Help them. Holy Spirit, help them. Help them to know you, Jesus, to have a relationship with you, Jesus. To know that Jesus, the deliverer, the healer, the way maker, the burden bearer. Help them to know that Jesus. Everything you are is in your name. We worship you. We praise you. We glorify you, oh God. Jesus, we thank you for your work on the cross. Oh, Holy Spirit, thank you. Thank you for your presence. Oh, thank you for your presence. Such peace in your presence. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Jesus. Oh, we just sit in that right now as we worship you, as we glorify you, as we thank you. And we just claim our healing. And we're not backing down from it. We claim our freedom. We're free. We're free. Help them, Father. Help them to know they're free. In the mighty name of your precious Son, Lord Jesus, I pray and declare all things. Amen. I want you to say it. I want you to say, I'm free, I'm whole, and I'm healed by the work done on the cross, by his wounds, by his stripes. I was healed. Grab hold, stay strong, fight the good fight of faith, and know he's with you. And that's this teaching, this episode. Sleep like a baby tonight, knowing he's got you protected and he's with you. watching over you and his angels are watching over you. Rest now, child, rest. That's what he's saying. Just rest now, child. I've got it. I'm carrying it. You don't have to. I got it. I've got this. I've got this. I've got this. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. That's what he has for you today. I don't know who it's for, but he wants you to know he's got it. He's got it. Don't pick it back up because he's got it. Don't pick it back up. He's got it. He's got it. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Holy Spirit.
