Peace Is Your Compass

Peace Is Your Compass

How many of you need discernment in your life? You need to know which way to go as you are aligning yourself with God's will. How do you know if you are walking the right path? Which direction do you choose?

In my personal walk with God, peace has always been my guide. From the moment the joy of the Lord filled me, and I was overcome with such profound peace, I made a decision to never let anything or anyone destroy my peace.

How many of you are in a relationship with turmoil, angst, fighting, or physical abuse? Verbal abuse? I can tell you that is not God's best for you, and what does the Bible say about being unequally yoked?

Welcome to today's episode of the Reflective Spaces Ministry Podcast. I'm Tammy Toney-Butler, Healing Evangelist, and your host. But we all know who the host of this show is, and that's Christ by way of his holy spirit, the spirit of Christ, the spirit of Jesus that lives within each of us and gives us our being. Well, I will tell you: go to our reflective spaces ministry website and check out the blog post I wrote today on Peace Is Your Compass. So, make sure you go read that. You'll have lots of scriptures, and it's a very quick read, but something that's powerful that uh goes along with this mini teaching on peace is your compass. www.reflectivespacesministry.com

How many of you are struggling trying to make a decision? Which way should I go? What should I do?

How do I respond to a particular person's question

and ask that they have of me?

How do I know I'm aligned with God's perfect will?

How do I know I'm on his path, the path that he has for me, for my life? For he knew me before he even formed me in my mother's womb, and I must be in alignment this season. How many of you are praying and calling out to God and asking Him that very question? Well, I'm here to give you an answer. The way you know is this: if you have peace, it's of God; if you do not have peace, it's not of God. If there's confusion, if there's no clarity, it's not of God. God is not the author of confusion. He is the author of peace and joy and love, not chaos, not turmoil. Often our spirit knows

our human spirit that's invaded by our Holy Spirit, so that we try to put our flesh under so that the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Jesus, can rise up within us during these moments. It's a war with our human spirit in the invasion of the Holy Spirit trying to rise up within us, strengthen our faith, and show us this is the way, walk in it. And so when we get an angst or unease in our spirit, and our peace leaves us, it's because we're listening to that human spirit in our feelings more than we're listening to the Holy Spirit. So we must look to our guide, which is always the Word of God, which sets us on our direction. It actually sets our compass to true north, which is where God is. So when you seek first the Kingdom of God and all else shall be given unto you, ask the Holy Spirit to give you such discernment, such clarity, and to restore your peace. And I tell you, if you just said yes to something and you weren't sure, but you said yes because you believed that you should and you didn't want to offend or upset the person, then you need to ask yourself, when did my peace leave me? Did my peace leave me the moment I said yes to that offer, that job opportunity, that relationship, that church that you know that I'm calling a church home, or um, you know, maybe it's I've partnered up with an organization, or maybe it's I' I've said I'm going to go to an event. Whatever it is, if your peace leaves you, that is your guide, your compass, because God gives us peace. Jesus died on the Cross so we could have peace. Now, let me be clear. That does not mean there's something wrong with that organization. There's something wrong with that church. There's something wrong with that person. It may just mean it's the wrong time or the wrong yoking for your Kingdom purpose to be in alignment with God's will and where he wants you to be this season. You have a call on your life put there by God Almighty. Let peace be your guide. And if it has left you, that is your answer. So trace your steps back and see the moment it left you. And at that moment, what did I say yes to? What did I come in agreement with?

What was revealed to me that gave me no peace?

Because that's the answer to your question that you keep asking God. Your spirit is fixated on God. You've got your eyes looking towards Jesus, and you're striving so hard to be in alignment, on point, going exactly the way he wants you to go. And he's heard your cries. He's answered you with the angst you feel in your spirit. Listen and be guided by the Holy Spirit. Because as you're maturing in Christ Jesus, you're dying to the flesh. Your Holy Spirit is rising up in you and taking over. And peace is your compass, which is pointed north, which is pointed to God Almighty. And that's the answer to your question and your query. May peace accompany you this day. May discernment be yours. And may the love of Jesus and the Light of the World, the Light of Jesus, the one who is the Light, guide your path this day and every day and direct your steps. Fix your eyes on Jesus, on that perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus.
