About Tammy Toney-Butler: https://www.reflectivespacesministry.com/about
Welcome to the Reflective Spaces Ministry teaching. I'm Tammy Toney-Butler, Evangelist, Author, and servant of the Lord Jesus Christ. Oh, we welcome you today. And he has a message for you, for someone that he has laid on my heart and wanted me to come and to deliver. Holy Spirit, come have your way in this time that we have together. May they hear you and not me, see you and not me. And may the spirit of the almighty God set them free from every affliction, from every addiction, and from every lie of deception placed on them by the enemy. Today is a day of freedom. Today is a day of breakthrough. And today is the day that he who the son sets free is free indeed. And the title of this message, the title of the message that you have today is religion binds relationship freeze religion binds relationship freeze Wow, religion binds and relationship frees. And the Holy Spirit downloaded something to me when He was revealing this truth to me. And the truth was being revealed to me through the scriptures this morning and through my time alone with Father, when I was in this secret place with Father. And I wanted to read it to you as He gave it to me. I wanted to make sure I read it to you as He gave it to me. Wounded, lost, and alone. Who do you go to for help? Where do you turn? Do you go to someone who's going to condemn you, tell you how dirty you are, shameful you are under the law of religion? Or are you going to seek someone who's going to love you where you are, dirty and all? Someone that will bind up your wounds, heal your broken heart, and love you unconditionally. Love you through the pain. Love you through the stain of your past. Love you through your mistakes. Love you through your brokenness. And love you so much that you will ride on that trail of love until you reach the destination of freedom. You're free to heal, free to love, free to reveal, free to let go, free to become, free to believe, free to step out, free to trust, free to obey, free to teach, free to preach, and you're free to free others. You're the one who holds the key to your future, but will you use it to unlock the door to freedom? Jesus is the only bridge to true freedom. You choose Jesus, you choose life. Let his spirit lead you and awaken you. Let his spirit break you free. Trust, believe, surrender, obey, and rest in God. And that was the opening that he gave me today for this message. And he gave me several scriptures and words. readings in his word that's going to bring forth light and illuminate the truth to us as we aspire to be little Jesuses walking around. And when the others see us, when they see us in action, that they know that there's something different about us, that we aren't like others in the world, and that we're set apart, a royal priesthood, a holy nation unto God, used for his service, used for his service, that we have surrendered our will for Jesus's, like Jesus did, and surrendered our will for God's will. Our will for God's will, like Jesus did in the garden of Gethsemane. Not my will, but yours be done, O God. And what did Jesus do? Jesus came to reveal God. The father, a merciful, compassionate father that sent his only begotten son to die on the cross so we could be set free. He sent his son and Jesus came for sinners like you and me. He did not come for the religious elite. He did not come for the religious elite. He didn't come to those who don't believe that they need help. that don't see an error in their ways. He came for those of us that know we're broken, that know we're stained, that know that we've made choices out of survival mode or based on a trauma adapted brain or based on things that happened to us in childhood. Or we've made choices through addiction and we've done things when we were high, when we were broken, we've hurt others. And we have that stain on us. But Jesus came to remove the stain of the condemnation from the law. The stain that was placed on Adam and Eve in the garden. to where they even tried to hide that shame and hide that stain after they ate of the forbidden fruit and separated themselves from purity of God and truth when they ate of a forbidden fruit and they were stained and they were dirty. And there was a relational wound. Jesus came to heal that relational wound so that they no longer had to to put on on leaves to try to cover their wounds, to try to hide their wounds. They they were that Jesus came to where he revealed the fact that father loves us so much, he sent his son to die for us, is to heal that relational wound so that we know that we can be daughters and sons of the king, that our past doesn't define us, that our mistakes doesn't define us, that we are who God says we are, that we are a royal priesthood, a holy nation. And all we have to do, all we have to do is to believe on Jesus, to believe on the son of God who died on the execution stake so that we could be set free because curse was anyone that hung on a tree. And Jesus hung on the tree for us, on the execution stake, on the cross at Calvary, that old wooden cross so that we could be set free, that we could have an abundant life, that we don't have to be under the condemnation of the law. He became our sacrifice. Yes, he was the lion of the tribe of Judah, but he was also the sacrificial lamb and he sacrificed and he, by his stripes, you were healed. You've been set free, but all you have to do is believe it. All you have to do is receive it and you keep walking in the light and then others try to To get you back in the dark or they try to speak lies over you or deceive you. Who says you're clean? Who says you're worthy? Well, Jesus does. Jesus died on the cross so you would know you're worthy. And we need his spirit, the spirit of Jesus. We need the Holy Spirit, the spirit of truth to help us to crucify our flesh daily, to come under him. and surrender to God's will. We need the spirit of Jesus. He died because he knew that we needed a helper. He knew that we needed the Holy Spirit to help us do this life thing on earth. We don't need it when we get to heaven. We need help now. We need to call out to God now. We need Jesus now. We need faith now. We need to know that no matter what we face, God is with us. No matter what storm we face, God is with us. That he is with us in our infirmary. He is with us in our affliction. He is with us when we got three dollars and eighty three cent in a bank account. He is with us when we are facing an eviction notice. He is with us in the middle of a diagnosis of cancer. He is with us. God Emmanuel is with us. Jesus is with us. And it is through the Holy Spirit that we get empowered to face life changes, the struggles of life, Sometimes we're called like Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego to walk through the fiery furnace, but we know the size of our God. And if we perish, we perish, but he is with us, in us, working in and through us. And is that true found in the word of God that sets us free? But what do we do? What do we do? Sometimes someone comes along and they reject us or they give us a negative, negative word or they say something about us or we learn they've been gossiping about us or they've said something that's not true. They blasphemy us and they wound us with the words that they're speaking about us to others when they don't understand and recognize that God has separated us. God has called us out. that we are a royal priesthood that we are set apart that we have a different assignment than theirs but people can wound us and people can hurt us and and but what do we do we have to stand on the truth we have to stand on the truth of the word of god and what does it say in genesis what does it say i'm sorry what does it say in galatians five what does it say in galatians five freedom in christ So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free and don't get tied up again in slavery to the law. Listen, I, Paul, tell you this. If you are counting on circumcision to make you right with God, then Christ will be of no benefit to you. I'll say it again. If you're trying to find favor with God by being circumcised, you must obey every regulation in the whole law of Moses. Or if you're trying to make yourselves right with God by keeping the law, you have been cut off from Christ. You have fallen away from God's grace. But we who live by the Spirit eagerly wait to receive by faith the righteousness God has promised to us. For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love. Faith expressing itself in love. Faith expressing itself in love. That is what is important. Not condemning people by the law. It is a spiritual circumcision that we all need. That where we get out of us anything that's not of God. That we get pride out of us, ego out of us, bitterness out of us, hate out of us. That we don't partner up with the sexual sins. We don't partner up with adultery. That we don't... do things of the flesh and partner up with the ways of the world, that we keep ourselves clean before the Lord. But how do we do that? How do we say no to that drug? How do we say no to alcohol? How do we say no to that sex addiction? We do it through the power of the almighty God and through Jesus Christ. And when we believe on Jesus and he's Lord and Savior of our life, then we are indwelled with the holy spirit and it's his spirit that leads us it's his spirit that guides us we come under the lordship and we submit to his spirit controlling us and we are able to withstand the forces of darkness that are trying to come against us we are able to stand firm We are able to stand firm on the cornerstone, the foundation, which is Christ, which is Christ, which is Christ, which is Christ. He is our rock of Gibraltar. He is our rock. He is our redeemer. He is everything. He is the author and finisher of our faith. Through Jesus, we have abundant life. The only way to know it, the only way to get set free is you got to go through the sun. If you're going to get to the father, if you're going to get to heaven, if you're going to get on that eternal life chain, that train and you're going to go up and be in heaven and live with eternal freedom and live in the light and live in the peace and the joy that comes from knowing the Lord Jesus Christ. And you've got to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. You got to know him. You got to have a relationship with him. It's not just about religion. You can know the scriptures, but you can be bound. You can come out of Egypt, but Egypt can still be in you. Do you have a relationship? Do you have a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ? Do you know the Son? Do you know the Son, the one who died on the cross, who bore our condemnation, our death? He was our pardon. He became our death sentence. So we don't have to die. We don't have to die. and we don't have to walk around spiritually dead we can be awakened we can be awakened to the truth we can be awakened to the truth that we have been set free set free by the glory of the lord set free in christ set free by christ's work done on the cross by his resurrection him conquering death he's ascended he's at the right side of the father and he has the power and authority over all things it is in him and through him and he gave that power to us as believers we get to bond we get to lose we get to break free we get to speak our reality into existence we get to say get behind me satan The battle's already been won. Get your hands off my family. Get your hands off my children. Get your hands off my ministry. The blood of Jesus covers us. The blood of Jesus. The blood of Jesus. We have to speak the blood of Jesus. We have to speak the name of Jesus. We go out onto the streets. We go into the pulpit. We go into the marketplace and we pray, but we don't say the name of Jesus. Everything is about the name of Jesus. If you publicly honor him, He's going to honor you before the Father. But did you go and pray and you don't even utter the name of Jesus? Do you speak in riddles because you're afraid of the name of Jesus, of the execution stake, of the work done on the cross? Have you forgotten your first love? Have you forgotten God Almighty and what He did? He sent His Son. What father does that? He did that because he wanted to heal the relationship between God and his children that was destroyed in the Garden of Eden. He wants us to repair that wound. He is a good father. He is not the father that beat you. He is not the father that abandoned you. He is not the father that hurt you. He is a good father. He is a good father. Your father had a choice. Your mother had a choice. Your parents hurt you, but God did not hurt you. God did not fail you. God did not hurt you. That religious leader that hurt you, that church that hurt you, that was not God. That was not honoring to God. That was a human being that was flawed. That was a human being. to where the demonic realm got a hold hub of and use him to wreak havoc in your life or use her to wreak havoc in your life but don't blame god for the free will that man has for the choices that man has for the choices that man makes My mother hurt me because she said no. She didn't say no to the darkness. She let the darkness in my house. She let the darkness in my bedroom as a child. My mother did that. God didn't do that. And even though I used to sit in my bathroom and bedroom and I'd cry and I would beg God to save me and I'd sit in the bathroom huddled with the door locked, reading my Bible, hiding it behind the toilet as a six, seven, eight year old. I don't even remember. But I could remember that I would sit here and try to be washed in the word of God. But yet I'd have to go outside that bathroom and face torture, face abuse, be raped over and over again. But I did not understand at the time that it was not God that was failing me. God never failed me. He was with me. I just couldn't see it. My mother chose the darkness. My mother opened me up to darkness. But my mother too had her own wounds. My mother had her own trauma, her own childhood trauma. She never got over what happened to her as a child. She never let it go. She never got healed from the generational trauma, from the generational abuse that she suffered. She never got healed. And wounded people wound others, and she wounded me. But I tell you today, it stops with me. i tell you today it stops with this generation i tell you today it stops with you it stops with you believing who god says you are it stops with you believing on the word of god and what it says and you are not under the condemnation of the law he who the son sets free is free indeed you've been set free you've been redeemed it's through relationship and he wants you to walk with him in the cool of the garden he wants you to put him first he wants you to know that you've got god with you that it doesn't matter if man's with you, God is with you. It doesn't matter who you got on your side. It doesn't matter who's talking about you. It doesn't matter who's out there spreading lies or rumors. God has it. God will lift you up. He will lift you out of Egypt. He will lift you and put you on a platform so high that they will know that it is the Almighty God, that only God can move through you that way. Only God could lift you up that way. Only God could give you that power and it is in that moment that you realize that Jesus Christ has been revealed. He has been revealed through you so the world can see that there is light in the darkness. There is hope in the darkness. There is truth. There is freedom and it all starts with love. It starts with love because what did Jesus do? he died for us because he loved us and he wept jesus wept and jesus loved us and he loves us now jesus said yes and he could have said no jesus jesus could have called legions of angels on his behalf but he didn't he didn't he didn't he didn't do it he went to the cross he went to the cross to repair the relational wound And he wants you to see him today. He wants you to see him today. He wants you to see him today. He wants you to see the work done on the cross. He wants you to see that freedom is yours. He wants you to see that freedom is yours. He wants you to see that freedom is yours. And when we look at second Corinthians, second Corinthians, we're in one. Second Corinthians one, God offers comfort to all. All praise to God, the father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us. For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ. Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation. For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer. We are confident that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort God gave us. That you will also share in the comfort God gave us. Paul wrote that to the church. And I'm saying that to you now. God is with you. God sees you. God sees you. It is religion that binds. It is religion that keeps you bound. But it is the relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. It is the love of Jesus that sets you free, that redeems you. The greatest commandment of all. is love love God with all your heart and in all your mind and love your neighbor as yourself but but but Jesus said the greatest commandment I give to you is even love love love love your brethren like I've loved you then they'll know you're my disciples love love love we have to show love to a lost and wounded broken world and It is love, love, love, love. And I want to apologize to you on behalf of all those that have wronged you. And I want you to let go. And I want you to let God. And I want you to surrender it all at the foot of the cross. And if you don't know Jesus as your Lord and Savior, I invite you to know Jesus. I invite you to say, Lord Jesus, I've missed it. I've missed it. Lord Jesus, I've messed up. I've hurt people. I've hurt myself. Oh, forgive me, Lord Jesus. I repent of all my sins. Wash me clean by your blood, Jesus. cleanse me, cleanse me, cleanse me. I believe in you, Jesus. I believe you're the son of God. I believe you're fully God, fully man. You came to earth, you died, you rose again, and you're seated in heavenly places to father, to the right of father. And I believe on you, Jesus. And the same way I believe on you now in my whole heart, I believe that you are the son of the almighty God. And I believe that your spirit, your Holy Spirit lives in me with this prayer. Holy Spirit, lead my life. Help me, Holy Spirit, to say no. to that addiction, to say no to the wine, to say no to the alcohol, no to the sex, to say no to even the self-sabotage. Help me to forgive myself. Help me to forgive them, those that hurt me. Help me to let go. Help me to let go of my control of the way I think things should be. Help me to let go and to break free. Help me to let go and to break free. Holy Spirit, help me to let go and to break free. Help me to get Egypt out of me. Even though I've left bondage, even though I've left the streets, even though I'm in the recovery program, I'm still having a hard time letting go. I'm still having a hard time letting go and believing my healing and believing that Christ has set me free. I'm having a hard time letting go because I don't want to be hurt. I don't want to be hurt. I don't want to be hurt. And my father failed me and my mother failed me. But I know what, you know what, Jesus, I know. I know you're never going to leave me. You're never going to forsake me. God, you're not going to fail me. It wasn't. It wasn't you that failed me, God. It was a human being that failed me. So I'm going to put my trust in you, God. I'm not going to put my trust in man. I'm going to put my trust in you, God. I'm asking you, God, to help me. Jesus, come. Jesus, be with me. Oh, Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, I need you. Repair the breach. Repair the breach. I repair the breach. It's time that the breach is repaired. That a generation is awakened. to the truth of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ that sets free, that heals, that redeems, that restores. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus.
