Welcome to today's episode of the Reflective Spaces Ministry Podcast. I'm your host and healing evangelist, Tammy Toney-Butler. We all know who the host of every show that we do is, and that's Christ. Holy Spirit, come have your way in this time that we have together. May they hear you and not me, see you and not me. May they grow into who you've called them to be this season
as they rest in you, grow in you
and seek new pathways
that you alone have asked them to walk on.
May they trust you even if they can't see the end from the beginning. Trusting that you know the way. You'll never leave us nor forsake us. You'll always protect us. For you're a good shepherd and your sheep know your voice and they follow you. I pray this prayer for everyone listening that they find truth today and freedom in the words that are spoken in the mighty name of Jesus I pray and declare all things. Amen. Let's start with reading Matthew 11 starting in 25. Jesus's prayer of thanksgiving. At that time, Jesus prayed this prayer. Oh father, Lord of heaven and earth, thank you for hiding these things from those who think themselves wise and clever and for revealing them to the childlike. Yes, Father, it pleased you to do it this way. My father has entrusted everything to me. No one truly knows the Son except the Father, and no one truly knows the Father except the Son, and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Then Jesus said, "Come to me all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you because I'm humble and gentle at heart and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear and the burden I give you is light and the burden I give you is light. How many of you are finding comfort in places you know you shouldn't be going with people you shouldn't hang around with things you just shouldn't be doing for they are not of God and you know it the moment you step into that room you open that bar cabinet it. You reach for that bottle of wine. You know that you shouldn't be doing it. You know you shouldn't be going down that road for it will not end well. You've been there before. You've drank your way thinking that it was going to give you rest. quiet that voice in your head that's so negative, but it didn't work. It's not going to work this time. So, don't even do it. Don't even reach for that bottle. Don't even reach for that bottle of pills. Don't even reach for something that is going to destroy you in the end. You cannot go down that road. It is not going to end well. You need to rest in me. That's what Lord Jesus is saying. Rest in me. Not in man, not in the world. Rest in me. Have I not carried you before many, many times? Have I not seen you through every trial since you've been saved and called out to me? Have I not been with you in every storm? Have I not gotten you through? Have you bounced a check since you've been following me? Have you not had a meal? Have you not had a place to lay your head? I am your provider and I will always provide for you. That's what he's saying for those that put their trust in him. He will make a way where there's no way. He will see a path before you you could never have seen because it was hidden and your perspective was skewed. But when you look through his eyes, through your heart where he is is and see from his vantage point with spiritual vision that you're more than a conqueror in Christ Jesus and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Then you realize those whispers that are negative or lies. They're not from him. there from the devil who comes to kill, steal, destroy, or distract. Don't go down that road. Don't reach for something that's not of God. You already know it. You have the strength within you to overcome this battle. I need you to get in there, delve deep, and remember what he brought you through in the past just a few short weeks ago, even
just a few short weeks ago. I don't know who this message is for, but the Holy Spirit put it heavily on my heart to be able to deliver it to you now. And he is literally giving me the words, telling me, "Don't rely on anything but the words I'm feeding you." He is truly speaking to you right now in your infirmary, in your trial and saying to you, "He's with you. He's with you. He's with you." Call out to him. Grab hold of the hymn of his garment. Find rest in me. That's what he's saying. Trust me. Trust my timing. I've already prepared the way. You're so close. Breakthrough is imminent. Praise me. Praise me. Praise me. Worship me. worship me in the way that you know to worship me. The melody that I've written on your heart and yes that melody was formed and cultivated
with painful painful painful instruments. But I'm here today to do spiritual surgery on you to pull out all those things that are not of God.
Extract the lies, the negative and the negativity that the enemy placed in you. It's coming out and it's going to be replaced with the love and light of the truth. Find your rest in me. Come to me all you who are weary and carry heavy burdens and I will give you rest. And I will give you rest.
I'm with you in your storm. I'll never leave you nor forsake you. I'm with you every step of the way. Every step of the way, I'm with you. I'm fighting the battle with you. You actually have already You already have the victory. You need to just trust in me. Walk with me. I will see you through. I will see you through. I will see you through. What does my word say in Psalm 23? The Lord is my shepherd. I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows. He leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength. He guides me along right paths, bringing honor to his name. Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me. You prepare a feast for me in the presence of my enemies. You honor me by anointing my head with oil. My cup overflows with blessings. Surely your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of the Lord forever. I will live in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 27. The Lord is my light and my salvation, so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger. So why should I tremble? When evil people come to devour me. When my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. For even if I am attacked, I will remain confident. The one thing I ask of the Lord, the thing I seek most is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord's perfections and meditating in his temple. For he will conceal me. He'll hide me there when troubles come. He will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock. Then I will hold my head high above my enemies who surround me at his sanctuary. I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy, singing and praising the Lord with music. Hear me as I pray. Oh Lord, be merciful and answer me. My heart has heard you say, "Come and talk with me." And my heart responds. Lord, I'm coming. Do not turn your back on me. Do not reject your servant in anger. You have always been my helper. Don't leave me now. Don't abandon me, oh God of my salvation. Even if my father and mother abandon me, the Lord will hold me close. Many of you have been abandoned by your fathers and your mothers, but you will never be abandoned by your heavenly father. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Teach me how to live, oh Lord. Lead me along the right path, for my enemies are waiting for me. Do not let me fall into their hands, for they accuse me of things I've never done. With every breath, they threaten me with violence. Yet, I am confident I will see the Lord's goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord. And that's what he's saying to you today. Wait patiently before the Lord. He has you. He's never going to leave you. Draw on his strength. Draw on his strength. Draw on his strength. Draw on his strength. Go back and listen to today's episode on reflective hour with Tammy Toney-Butler. Listen to Reflective Hour. We all need rest, but where are we finding rest? Who's our power source? Who are we going to? Be careful where you go when you need rest. only go to the good shepherd because we know who he is and he knows who we are and we know his voice and we follow it. Follow Him. Follow Him. Follow Him. Follow him. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus. Glory be to Jesus.
