About Tammy Toney-Butler: https://www.reflectivespacesministry.com/about
Good morning. Welcome to Reflective Spaces Ministry. I'm Tammy Toney-Butler, and I wanted to welcome you to this time that we have together this morning as I minister to you, speak to you His truth, and as we find comfort this day message of hope and healing that's going to carry us through the week and the days ahead father wanted me to come on today live and so that is uh what I'm doing and he has uh prepared in advance um some words that he wanted me to say So we're going to jump right into today's message. And before we do that, I just want to pray over all of our listeners, all of our viewers, followers, whether it's on YouTube, Facebook, all over the world. We're just grateful that you could be with us this morning, because remember, we are the church, the body of believers. where two or three are gathered in his name, there shall he be. So we're gathered in his name, spreading his love and his glory where it needs to be spread most. Throughout this evil, dark world, we must be bearers of the light and of truth. Holy Spirit, just come have your way. Many of them are tired and weary, Father. Give them strength. Help them, Lord Jesus, as they even prop up a couple of pillows behind their head because they don't even have enough strength to get out of the bed. We've been there, right, Father? I have. Help my brothers and sisters. Help them to see you And to know the freedom that you bring. Let's open spiritual eyes today to see and ears to hear. Let them see your merciful truth. And know that they too can find freedom at the foot of the cross. In your precious name we pray. The mighty name of Lord Jesus. Amen. So today I'm going to bring up just a little, some notes for us. And this is on abundant faith. And when we talk to you about abundant faith, boy, we have to look to James in the Bible. I really love James. I love James. his teachings, his style, and the way he permeates the truth of God and the word. How he highlights Jesus in a way that is approachable and easy to follow and that opens his heart our hearts to his love for us. James was an amazing follower of Christ. And through his own adversity, he thrived. As many of you are thriving today with your own weaknesses, pain, burdens that you're carrying, Do you have abundant faith? Are you anchored in Christ? Will he see you through your tribulation? Let's dive in to find out more. I'm going to be reading James out of the NIV, the New International Version, out of the Life Application Study Bible. Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him. When tempted, no one should say, God is tempting me, for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone. But each one is tempted when by his own evil desire he is dragged away and enticed. How many of you have been drug away and enticed? Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin. And sin, when it is full grown, gives birth to death. Don't be deceived, my dear brothers. Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly light, who does not change like shifting shadows. He is our steadfast anchor in any storm, our cornerstone, our foundation. We are anchored on the rock when we anchor on Christ. No matter what storms we face in this life, we will not be shaken. We will not be moved. We will not be moved by fear or circumstances because we have abundant faith in Christ. He chose to give us birth through the word of truth that we might be a kind of first fruits of all he created. Let's look a little bit more deeply at temptation. It comes from evil desires inside of us, not from God. Beginning with an evil thought and becoming sin when we dwell on the thought and allow it to become an action. The more we partner with sin, the more we are destroyed. The best time to stop a temptation, that evil desire in us, is before it is too strong or moving way too fast to control. The moment that thought enters your mind, you are to stop it immediately and say, I will have the mind of Christ. I will only think on what is noble. and pure and righteous. You have to control your mind. You can even look to a reference of Joyce Meyer's book, The Battlefield of the Mind. She has many teachings that help you in this area. Spiritual contamination from the world through scrolling on social media, those ads that pop up, videos, music, political and other TV shows that threaten to consume us, news outlets, other peers, close family members even, or relational ties, they can lead to Satan tempting and deceiving us through them. Satan plants seeds, evil desires, which give birth to sin, and sin when full grown leads to spiritual death. Because what does sin do? It separates us from Father. It leads to the weight that we carry of shame and guilt and fear and regret and condemnation. But we all know there's no condemnation in Christ. There's love, just such abundant love, merciful love. We can use prayer as our weapon. Remember, it's our sword, the word of God. engaging in prayer as a means of intimacy with Abba Father, allowing God's love to transform our hearts as we pour out our joys, sorrows, and desires, whether good or bad. Christ knows our heart. Father knows our heart. He knows what's in there. You can't hide from him. You can't. But you can ask him to transform your heart and your mind to have the heart of Christ in the mind of Christ and to only think on what's noble and pure and hold every thought captive. And you can do it in his strength, not your own. Ask him to help you. Father, take it from me. Take the desire to use drugs from me. Take the desires to sin and look at pornography from me. Take the desire to have an adulterous affair away from me, O Father. Take it, Father. My desire for food and gluttonous portions, Father, take it from me. I can't do it in my own strength, but you can do it, O God. I lay it at the foot of the cross, and I ask you to take it from me. The lust of the flesh, the lust of the eye, the pride of life, take it, O God. I don't want to carry it anymore. I don't want to be dead. I want to live. Oh God, I want to live. I want to live. I want to live. I'm broken. I'm an empty vessel and I want to be filled with your love and your glory and your mercy. And he can plant seeds of hope and love and faith in Christ Jesus so that we can conceive and birth good things. not evil. Say no to Satan, that tempter, and say yes to Lord Jesus, our creator, our redeemer, our advocate, our helper, our healer. Let's look at Romans, Romans, Romans, Romans, Romans, Romans, Let's now look at the power of listening. Embrace silence and stillness to cultivate inner peace and hear the whispers of God. To be able to actively listen to our brother and sister in Christ as they're pouring their heart out to us so that we can listen with a pure heart with no motive and no judgment. Discover the transformative potential of quieting the soul. And what is the soul? It's the mind, will, and emotions. And remember, we are spirit. We live in a body. We have a soul. Our soul does not control us. The Holy Spirit, if you allow him to come into your heart, if you believe that Jesus is the son of God, that he died on the cross, rose again and conquered death, and you just believe in his lordship, and surrender to His will, to surrender to Him entering into your heart and controlling your life and saying, Holy Spirit, come live inside of me and change me, make me fresh and new. He will. And you will be forever changed as I was and still am being. I still am becoming all He's called me to be. Is our church, our buildings, a community of love. Remember, we're the people. We are the church. The church is living. It's moving. It's not the building itself. It's us. Are we a safe space, an environment to experience Christ's transformative love? Are we actively listening without judgment and preconceived bias in our hearts? What is the posture of our own heart? We need to examine that daily. Oh Lord, make a right heart within us. Do not judge beforehand who will respond to the gospel message for you do not know their spiritual heart condition. We are to sow seeds of love without bias and judgment and let Christ do the rest. The harvest is not finished. The harvest is out of our control and not up to us. Let me say that again. The harvest is out of our control. It's not up to us. We're just to sow the seeds and show them the love of Jesus. They're not to see me, Tammy Toni Butler. They're to see Lord Jesus. Are we experiencing spiritual blindness or are we responsive to God's message for us? Ask him to give us spiritual ears to hear and eyes to see the truth. Allowing God's love to flow through us like living water transforms not only our lives, but also the lives of others. Receiving and extending grace and forgiveness are essential aspects of Christ's transformative love for us, his body, his church, his believers. Let's support one another in our transformative love. Let's journey together and heal. Father, put on me some more of James that I did not put in that little PDF template. And I want to just go to his word, let him speak in and through me. You know who's listening, Father. You know, even if the ninety-nine are safe, you go after the one. And if this message reaches the one, amen is what I say. So let's go and find out what you have for us as we dive in a little bit more into James. And again, I'm reading out of the New International Study Bible. Father, put on me James. James is an amazing book. It's teachings that relied heavily on Jesus, the Sermon on the Mount, his teachings. And he wanted me to look at James two, twelve through thirteen. Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom, because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. We're not to have a judgmental heart. We're not. We're to be merciful. We're to be merciful. Showing them the love of Jesus that transforms and heals. Accepts us in our weakness. In our sin, we can come to him. empty with a heart posture of repentance saying no more. I want to turn from that addiction. I want to turn from those things that are killing me and destroying me, causing me depression, chronic fatigue. I don't want any of that. I want full abundant life. I want that abundant faith. I want to know that I know that I know there is a God and that he transforms us inside and out, making us into vessels of truth and love to a lost, dark, and dying world. Vessels of hope, strength, overcoming. You can overcome everything that happened to you. I'm living proof of that. I overcome child sex trafficking. The realization that my mother was my trafficker. She put me in harm's way. She didn't protect me. Opening up a mother wound, wound that was difficult to heal from, but I didn't do it in my own strength. I did it in Christ. His love, his forgiveness, his mercy. When I went to him with a repentant heart, heavy laden, he carried my burdens. He spoke life into me where there was death. He didn't say, you're too dirty. Don't come here seeking me. He didn't show me condemnation. He showed me abundant, life-giving, freeing love. And that is what he'll do for you when you seek him out. Seek his love, his compassion, his mercy. The world wants to condemn you, sowing seeds of hate and discord. That is not Lord Jesus. That is not the God I serve. No, he does not partner with sin. He does not like sin. because it separates you from the abundance of all that he has for you, that abundant full life. But you can come to him in the murk and mire and the dirt, in those shameful garments. He will remove that shame and place on you a robe of righteousness, a garment of praise and hope and joy. You will have abundant life. In Christ Jesus, again, I'm living proof. And remember, a changed life, walking in the light and love of the Lord, mirroring Christ, means that you've been saved. So if you're still casting judgment on your brother and sister, If you're still showing condemnation and not mercy, where I just read mercy triumphs over judgment in the Bible, in the word of God, the infallible word of God. Are you really saved? Are you really? Faith without works is dead. You can't earn your way to heaven. Salvation is given to you freely by the work of Jesus Christ on the cross. But when he comes into your heart and you lay down your old self and you take on that new self, that new creation, you can't not but surrender to him and follow him. It's a process. You still have junk in your trunk like I did, but you will get through it, overcome it. in his help, in his strength and not yours. And I believe that is the message that he has for you today. A message of hope. And all throughout James, talks about genuine faith. Even when we look at James two, And I start reading at five, James two, five. Listen, my dear brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the eyes of the world to be rich in faith and to inherit the kingdom he promised those who love him? But you've insulted the poor. Is it not the rich who are exploiting you? Are they not the ones who are dragging you into court? Are they not the ones who are slandering the noble name of him to whom you belong? If you really keep the royal law found in scripture, love your neighbor as yourself, you're doing right. But if you show favoritism, you sin and are convicted by the law as lawbreakers. For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. For he who said do not commit adultery also said do not murder. If you do not commit adultery, but do commit murder, you have become a lawbreaker. Speak and act as those who are going to be judged by the law that gives freedom. Because judgment without mercy will be shown to anyone who has not been merciful. Mercy triumphs over judgment. We go on to read about faith and deeds and we start at eighteen. But someone will say you have faith. I have deeds. Actually, let's start. Let's start. Let's go back. Let's start with James fourteen. What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to him, go, I wish you well, keep warm and well fed, but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself is, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. But someone will say, you have faith, I have deeds. Show me your faith without deeds. And I will show you my faith by what I do. You believe that there is one God, good. Even the demons believe that, it's shudder. You foolish man. Do you want evidence that faith without deeds is useless? Was not our ancestor Abraham considered righteous for what he did when he offered his son Isaac on the altar? You see that his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did. And the scripture was fulfilled that says Abraham believed God and it was credited to him as righteousness. And he was called God's friend. You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone. In the same way, was not even Rahab the prostitute considered righteous for what she did when she gave lodging to the spies and sent them off in a different direction? As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. Is the Holy Spirit flowing in and through us? you and out to your congregation, out to your church? Are people being transformed by the light and love of the truth or are they still kept in bondage when they leave the words of the pulpit? Are you becoming true bearers of the truth And of the transformative light that Christ brings? Or are you seeking likes on Facebook and other platforms? We will see transformation after this word today. I know it. Because God's word never returns void. Never. And as I pray for you, You will receive healing in those areas of bondage. And you will break into who God's called you to be because he spoke the world into existence. And I speak this into existence today through faith in Christ Jesus, my Lord and Savior, who I obey and follow. with every action and deed. Do you mirror Christ with your life? Are you focused on material possessions? Are you seeking out ways to truly, truly help your brethren, giving to the poor? Silver and gold I have none, but I'll give you Christ Jesus. Lord Jesus, that's what I had to give you. His abundant life. Pure gospel of truth that transformed me. I'm a sinner that he set free. I'm a girl from the trailer park. Filthy rags. But he dressed me with a robe of righteousness and transformed me. All that I am is because of Jesus. He'll transform you too. I want to pray for you. Minister to you. And I want you to surrender those little girls and little boys that all that bad stuff happened to. You couldn't control what happened to them. You can't control the outcomes now. But you can control who's your anchor. Are you going to anchor into the world? Are you going to anchor into Jesus? Because I'm anchored in the rock. He had me go through Hurricane Ian in a shed. Category five hurricane. And we were right in that eye, that eye wall. We never saw the eye. We just were in the horrendous winds. And I say we. It was me and Jesus and four cats in a very tiny shed that we use as our feed room and gathering room and another place to hold group meetings if we need to. But God had us ahead of time build it. And he had us build it with hurricane doors and windows. And I thought my husband, Dave, was crazy when he said, you know, we need to do this and spend, oh my gosh, I can't remember how much that door was, but it was well over a thousand dollars. And I'm like, is he crazy? It's a shed. But he put hurricane windows and hurricane doors in it. And I'm coming to you now from my ministry office, which is a shed that we repurposed and redid, very small. And I just, that day when I knew that storm was coming and the Lord prepared me ahead of time, told me exactly what to do, the Holy Spirit. He told me, it's going to come. It's going to get you. It's going to wallop you. Even though they say it's not going to hit you, it is. And I want you to prepare yourself and prepare the land. Because my husband was a police officer at the time and had to go. And I had to stay home with the animals and the cows and everything on our ranch. And so I followed the Lord, the Holy Spirit. He prepared me. He even mentioned to me some boards that I'd forgotten where we'd been working on a deck and improving a deck. And I thought they were nailed down, big planks of wood. But they were not. They had never been nailed down. And they would have been flying missiles during that storm and they would have broken out windows, could have hurt the animals, damaged our neighbor's property, so many things. He showed me those. He showed me and told me exactly how to prepare for that storm. Listen to me, all of you. Storms are coming. You need to know the Holy Spirit. You need to be still and listen to the whisper and cultivate the knowing, the knowing that's in you. The knowing this is the way, walk in it. This is the narrow path of righteousness. You need your helper because we will not feel what's coming because we are anchored in the steadfast rock Through faith, we hold steadfast in the winds of change. The wind can blow, but we stand firm on the promises of our Lord and Savior. Holy Spirit, I ask that you heal them today. Heal them, heal them. Give them the strength to lay down the addictions and to say no more. To say no more. As I asked you, Father, to take away my food addiction because I used food to cope for so many years. To cope with the shame and the guilt and all that of leftover trauma. But when I surrendered that little girl to you and I chose to be victorious as opposed to remaining as a victim. You saved me. You washed me clean. You help me even now to transform others through your light and love. May they see you, Father, today. May they know you. May they call out to you for healing. Surrendering those little girls and those little boys. There's a lot of little girls and little boys on my ranch that are running around Kayaking, fishing, playing with our cows, green pastures, still waters, Psalm twenty three. Father, help them to give those little girls and little boys to me so they can stay here on the land. Figuratively, obviously, not literally. My little girl that I laid down is on the grounds of Ave Maria University, and when I let go of her, and everything attached to her, I had abundant life in you. Lord Jesus, help them to have abundant life in you, to surrender fully to you controlling their lives. That is so difficult for us if we've been victimized, to let anyone control us. but father is a good father. Abba father will never leave you nor forsake you. Your parents may have hurt you as mine did, or I lost my dad to suicide. So many things have happened in my life, but Christ set me free of all and anything attached to it. The root of bitterness, the root of unforgiveness, the root of resentment, any of those things can keep you bound. And he came to give you abundant life. I don't want to end this broadcast, this sermon, this message, whatever it is he told me to come live. I don't want to end it with any of you still in bondage. Because you don't have to be. You don't need that wine, that liquor. You don't need it. I let go of mine. I don't, I don't need any of that to get to sleep. I get to sleep with Lord Jesus with my being my guiding light, my peace, my rest. I'll put on some music with rain and I'll just rest so easily. Now I sleep like a baby. We bind any spirits of insomnia and break them down. We rebuke any roots to addiction. And we plead the blood of Jesus over that. Calling forth healing in those raw areas, those areas that break open and bleed. And that pain from that raw, open wound. You often grab that bottle, alcohol pills. You take a hit. You smoke. to be set free from the weight that creeps in and the heaviness. I want you to let go and I want you to let God. You're not too dirty. You're not foolish. Too much shame. You reach out and you will have abundant life. Surrender to him, his will for your life. He will transform you. He will guide you. He will be your friend. as he is mine. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for healing them now. Thank you for healing them from spirits of infirmary, chronic fatigue, breaking it off now in the name of Jesus. That is not your portion. Cancer is not your portion. You're being healed in the name of Jesus. By his stripes, ye were healed. It's past tense. You claim it. You believe it. You walk in it. You are being healed and transformed by his blood through faith. Through faith. Remember the faith of this centurion soldier. Remember the faith. The Abraham faith that we just read him. I know that you're being healed. I know that you're being transformed. I know that the old is gone and the new is here because he came to give us abundant life. Holy Spirit, Just have them sit in your presence for just a few minutes. Holy Spirit, I know you're touching them. I know that you're cleansing them, purifying them, sanctifying them. They're seeking you as they're stretching out their hands for healing. They're receiving it now in the name of Jesus. Just basking in His presence. That peace you're feeling that surpasses all understanding, that's Jesus. That's the Holy Spirit that comforts us and strengthens us. One moment in His presence changes everything. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Oh, I see you. I see you all those who are tuning in from all over the world, from Kenya, from small tribal villages, different places in Africa, India, Canada, Oklahoma, those of you who are listening to us from North Carolina, from all over the world, this word is for you. He's healing you now. He's bringing you now the things that you need. When you have that purified heart and there's no contaminations, And your only thought and purpose is to do his will. Recognizing we are one body, united under the head, which is Christ. We are one body. You may be the arm, I may be the leg, but we are one body. Doesn't matter our skin color. Doesn't matter if we're rich or poor. It doesn't matter our political affiliation. None of that stuff. We're one body, united under the love and light of Christ Jesus. And His work on the cross, His crucifixion, His resurrection, His promises of that act alone, that sacrificial act of obedience to His Father's will, a father who loved us so much he sent his only begotten son to save us. Jesus, his love for us, his bride, his true church, gave his life so that a sinner like me, who did so many horrible things, said so many bad things, In the aftermath of my trauma, especially when I get caught in an emotional flashback. I hurt people. Hurting people hurt people. Another thing that Joyce Meyer always says. Cut yourself some slack. It's not your fault. Many of you were cultivated in a womb of trauma. Raised up. By parents who also parented in survival mode. Those things that happened to you were not your fault. They were not your fault. They were not your fault. And no, no, no, no, no. You are not dirty. You are worthy. You're fearfully, beautifully and wonderfully made daughters and sons of the king. You are worthy. You are worthy. You are worthy of the calling that he's placed on your life. I don't know who that's for, but I'm getting that in my spirit. You are worthy. You are worthy. You are worthy. You are worthy to open that praise building. That building of praise is what I'm getting. You're worthy. You're worthy. If he calls you to it, he will bring you through it. He will bring you through it. He will give you the tools and the resources that you need to carry out your assignment. By faith, you will step out and walk towards the territory he is telling you to take for the kingdom of God. You will step out in faith and you will go where he's calling you to go. You will do what he's calling you to do. For faith without works is dead. He speaks to you. You believe it in your heart and you have faith and you take hold of that promise and say, that is mine. I'm going for it because I know he spoke that to me and I know it's true. You step out in faith. He will meet you there. He will meet you there. whether he tells you to travel to a city and you don't even know where you're going or what you're doing, whether he tells you to go to a women's conference and you don't even know why you're there, but you end up praying for so many outside the building and so many receiving healing and there being such a mighty move of God inside the building. I don't need to know why he sends me where he sends me. I just need to obey and go because there's someone on the other end of that that's praying for a miracle. That's praying for a labor to come into the field. What if that labor is you? Are you going to obey him and go? Are you going to go where he's calling you to go? Are you going to sit Sunday after Sunday in a church pew and Leave the sermon. Monday, go back to work. Doing the same thing over and over again. Making a boss an idol in your life. Making a material possession an idol in your life. He is calling us into the field to help his lost sheep find their shepherd and have abundant life Will you go? Will you answer the call? Will you follow the knowing that's in your spirit and step out in faith? He'll provide for you. He'll open a door that no man can shut. He'll open a door that no man can shut. God will put you where he wants you. But you have to walk towards it. The man with the withered hand had to stretch it out for healing. Many people in the Bible had to actually do things. And as they walked, they were cleansed. As they walked, they were healed. As they stepped out in faith, they entered into the promise. Are you going to enter into your promised land? Are you going to step out in faith? Do what he's calling you to do? It takes abundant faith, crazy faith, Abraham faith to do it. But I did it and you can too. I sold everything I own to follow Lord Jesus. Everything. I live in a little tiny house, part model home. Some people call it a little tiny house. Some people call it a little small mobile home. I call it a blessing because I didn't know that I'd be able to afford it because he got us this great expensive land. And we knew the most important thing that father put on us was the land, the place of healing, the stillness to where he is the most important thing. thing on this land, not a building, not a structure, but him, his presence dwelling in us and hovering over this land and this territory. Wherever we step, we take that territory for the kingdom of God. Wherever you step, you'll take territory for the kingdom of God. When you step out in faith, that Noah kind of faith, It's where you build an ark, even though everybody's telling you you're crazy. That's the kind of faith that transform. That's the kind of faith that heals. That's the kind of faith that breaks every chain and breaks the yoke of bondage off of people. That is the kind of faith that takes. And that is the kind of faith I'm bringing to you today. His faith and his truth. He will set you free. All you have to do is believe and surrender. and walk in Him, reside in Him, abide in Him, and not partner with the lies of this world, the contaminated truth of the world, but focus on who He says you are and who He's called you to be in this hour. Step out in faith. Be the answer to someone's prayer. He's calling you now. Out into the harvest field. Consider this a call to action. Consider this a call to action. Consider this a call to action. He's coming. For his church. For his purified bride. And we need to be ready. And we need to bring souls into the kingdom. And show them the healing. And love. and freedom that knowing Christ Jesus brings. No more bondage. There's no bondage where he is. There is only freedom. Freedom. There's only freedom in Christ Jesus. There's only freedom in Christ Jesus. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Father. Thank you, Lord Jesus. Thank you, Lord. That, that stillness, that peace. That surpasses all understanding that you're feeling now. Whether you're in Africa. Whether you're in Oklahoma. Whether you're in North Carolina. Whether you're in Egypt. Whether you're in prison.
