The Power of Prayer

Prayer is a powerful weapon for believers.

Good morning. I'm back with you today. Sorry about that first go-live just a few minutes ago. I was having coughing spasms, and of course, as everything can happen when you go live, the stream yard gave me a moment, but it was all because of my technical difficulties.
So now I believe that we can go forth, but I'll tell you in all honesty, you know, when stuff like this happens, I realize that I have to stop, refocus, and pray because maybe I'm about to say something that's flesh and not in line with what the Lord wanted me to speak on.
So I just took a few minutes to re-center and realized that I was trying to put more into His teaching than He had wanted me to.
So I want to thank all of you for listening, who believe in us, and who follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube and all those things and like and subscribe.
And those of you who also follow me on Reflective Hour and those of you who pour into our ministry at Reflective Spaces Ministry, where we work with survivors of child sex trafficking and adults and all forms of trauma.
And those who know me, you know that I am a survivor of child sex trafficking. And Christ set me free, broke every chain.
And I've just been on His mission to spread His message worldwide: hope, peace, love, joy, and whatever words He brings me to deliver, whatever Truth that is.
I'm never comfortable going live, and He knows that, but in the uncomfortableness and surrendering to His will and not my own, He can do so much through a yielded vessel.
So again, thank you, everyone, for listening.
And we will start again with prayer and move into His words for you today.
Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, Abba Father, Father of our precious Lord Jesus, we invite Your Words, Your Truth, to reign in the hearts of the people this day.
Let their spiritual eyes and ears be open to hear and see.
Let any veil be lifted so they can truly digest the Word because it is food to those who hear it so they may never hunger and thirst again.
For you are the Bread of Life, our Wellspring of Living Water. And I just call forth Your peace. Your clarity, Your wisdom, and Your strength.
As we get through this message and deliver Your Truth, Holy Spirit, You speak Your Words through me, in and through me. Let them see You, oh God, Lord Jesus, let them not see me.
Oh, we pray this in Your mighty name, Lord Jesus. Amen.
So, Father put on me, today, Mark 11, and I will be reading the New International Life Application Study Bible, the New International Version.
And so I will be reading Mark 11:22-25.
So, if you have your Bible, you'll want to turn.
I also like the King James Version and the Tree of Life Version.
And I say me, but that's often the translations the Holy Spirit has led me to look at and taught me through.
So we'll be reading that.
We'll also be reading Ephesians 1 and Ephesians 3.
I will read Kenneth Hagin's book, The Art of Prayer, a Handbook of How to Pray, for just a few pages.
So let us begin with Mark.
Thank you again, all of you who tuned in and are with me, fellowshipping. Where two or three are gathered in His name, there shall He be.
So, we know that the Holy Spirit is with us.
We all get to drink from that Wellspring of Living Water.
Oh, we need it today, right?
Okay, let's dive in.
Mark 11:22-25
New International Version
22 “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered.
23 “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.
24 Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
25 And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”
Wow. I love that. Oh, I love that.
Now we move over to Ephesians, and we're going to Ephesians 1.
Ephesians 1
New International Version
1 Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God,
To God’s holy people in Ephesus,[a] the faithful in Christ Jesus:
2 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Praise for Spiritual Blessings in Christ
3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love
5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—
6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.
7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace
8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding,
9 he made known to us the mystery of his will according to his good pleasure, which he purposed in Christ,

Thanksgiving and Prayer
15 For this reason, ever since I heard about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all God’s people,
16 I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers.
17 I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.
18 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people,
19 and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength
20 he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms,
21 far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.
22 And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church,
23 which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way.
Now, we're going to go over to Ephesians 3.
These are prayers that you should pray.
Some people pray them daily for breakthrough.
I've prayed them and prayed them and prayed them.
Ephesians 3
New International Version
God’s Marvelous Plan for the Gentiles
3 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—
2 Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you,
3 that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.
4 In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,
5 which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets.
6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.
7 I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power.
8 Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ,
9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.
10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,

A Prayer for the Ephesians
14 For this reason I kneel before the Father,
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name.
16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being,
17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love,
18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,
19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,
21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.
He wanted me to read those to you today and remind you of the power in prayer and the power behind praying and praying in tongues and in just edifying and building up.
And remember, prayer is part of your dialogue. It's your relationship with Father. Father wants to have a relationship with His children.
I speak to Him as I speak to you. And often when I'm working in the garden or on the ranch, whether it's putting in a fence post or running the John Deere, He's always, you know, the Holy Spirit is just speaking to me in that still small voice that you just know in your spirit.
For some people, it's an inner knowing, just knowing the way. But it's in that moment of stillness that we can hear Him, find Him, and be built back up and edified.
And that's why I believe he wanted me to read from pages 106 and 107 of The Art of Prayer, a handbook on how to pray by Kenneth E. Hagin.
And I love the Rhema Bible College, the Rhema Bible Correspondence Courses that they have online.
I recommend those.
And it's talking about praying in tongues to edify yourself.
I'm going to start kind of midway down the page.
Jude 20: But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.
First Corinthians 14:4. He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifies himself.
"There's one phase of speaking with tongues in our prayer life that is not praying for someone else. It is not interceding for anyone else. It is purely a means of personal spiritual edification. It aids us spiritually. It edifies us. It builds us up. We all need this kind of praying. We cannot help others. We cannot edify others unless we ourselves have been edified. Take time to build yourselves up by praying much in the Holy Spirit with other tongues. Spiritual things are similar to natural things. Jesus used natural things to explain spiritual things. In the natural, no one will be expert and keen in any area without working at it. So basically, you won't be an expert in spiritual things unless you take the time. And praying in tongues will help you to be keen with spiritual things." [Kenneth E. Hagin's book The Art of Prayer, Pages 106-107].
It also keeps us in our prayers pure. It keeps us from spiritual pride. It keeps us from our egos coming in. It keeps us from circumstances and things affecting us and our flesh kicking in.
When we pray in tongues, and if you aren't speaking in tongues, then just ask the Holy Spirit to impart that gift upon you.
Holy Spirit, Holy Spirit, I just want to impart that gift of speaking in tongues to anyone who wants to grab hold of it so that we can be edified, can be unified As a church, a body of believers under one Head, which is Christ.
Just believe that you've received it, open your mouth, and just start speaking.
Just start speaking.
He wants to bestow that gift upon you. It is needed in this hour of trial, tribulation, and suffering like never before.
To speak in that true prayer language.
Paul considered everything else dung but speaking, edifying in that heavenly language.
I remember when it happened to me that I started speaking in tongues, and I was quite unsure of myself.
And it became so powerful.
And often, in that secret place, I'd get built back up. And I can go and conquer and be victorious because I dialogued with my Father in such a special, true, authentic way to where my faults and my flesh don't kick in.
And I believe that that was a message that He had for you today is to know the power of prayer, praying for your nation, praying for your world, praying for your families, praying for each other, praying those prayers in Ephesians 1 and Ephesians 3 that I spoke of, marinating in that Word in Mark, trusting God is in charge and has everything under control.
There's no need to fear.
There's no need to fear.
Walk in peace and joy knowing that Father has it and He has you.
Bask in His presence and His glorious peace today.
Know that you're never too dirty to seek Him.
All that shame and guilt and fear and regret and all that stuff was nailed to the Cross.
You're never too dirty. He loves us.
Boy, have I sinned. I've done so many things, but yet He forgave me. And He doesn't even remember them because I repented and confessed my sins.
And now I walk in this cleanness, my innocence restored in Christ Jesus, our Lord.
Bask in that peace, in His presence, in His Glory.
Walk in His strength and His power today.
I believe that's the Word He has, the message He wanted portrayed, brought forth today for those who are struggling, all those who are survivors like me, thriving.
But some days, it's a struggle.
You know, you have to edify and build yourself up.
And I do that through prayer, time alone with Father, listening to praise and worship music.
Because circumstances can bring you fear and zap your joy.
And we need to be strong during this time.
And I believe that's what He has for you today.

Lord Jesus, watch over them, every one of them that's tuning in. Grant them their heart's desires as they pray in line with Your Word and will.
Surrender into Your will for their lives and not their own.
Remember, we are to edify the Kingdom and build it up.
It's not about us individually.
It's about us corporately and together united under one Truth, the infallible Word of God, Lord Jesus Christ, Jesus.
Love.
Love and peace, remember.
The greatest commandment is love.
Love them as I have loved you. And I love you as He loves you.
And I believe in each of you. And I know you'll conquer and be victorious.
And you'll bring many to Christ through your individual ministries.
And you'll stay strong in the middle of the storms you're facing.
For you are anchored into the Cornerstone.
The foundation, which is Christ.
Nothing will shake or move you when you walk by faith and not sight.
True faith.
Go and prosper this day.
