Welcome to today's episode of the Reflective Spaces Ministry podcast teaching. I'm Tammy Toney-Butler, Healing Evangelist and your host. But we all know who is responsible for this show and all that we do. And that's Christ. Holy Spirit, come have your way in this time that we have together. May your spirit guide us into all truth. May it bring clarity where there's been confusion. And may we know the truth and the truth set us free. For he who the Son sets free is free indeed. Holy Spirit, strengthen us, give us endurance as we run the race set before us. And as we fight the good fight of faith, help us to know, O God, that you, You alone are always with us. You are our protection. You are our rear guard. You're our protective covering. And the blood of Jesus covers a multitude of sins. We praise you, Jesus. We thank you for your sacrifice on the cross and for all that you did for sinners like me. We rejoice. We praise your holy name. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray and exalt all things. Amen. Thank you for tuning in to today's message and teaching called Who's Got Your Back? Who's got your back? Who's covering your rear guard? In life's storms, you can feel overwhelmed. Blow by blow comes Some attacks you don't even see coming. Betrayals even. Spiritual warfare is great. But you must always remember who is your covering? Who's your protection during the storms of life? What anchors us and holds us? And brings us into all truth. So that we know that we know that we know this is the way. Walk in it. That's the word of God. That's the word of God that dwells inside of you. And actually. The word of God came alive. And walk the earth. And Jesus. Jesus was the living word. Fully God. Fully man. He knew all that we faced. He suffered a horrible death on the cross so that we could have eternal life. And I ask you today, who are you relying on during a storm, a trial? Are you looking to man to be your backup, to protect you, a job, maybe? Or are you looking To God. What does the word of God say. About. A rear guard of protection. Who's watching you. Who's watching over you. Ensuring. That you prosper. When you surrender. To God's will for your life. And you walk in divine alignment. And you seek his will. He gives you the desires of your heart. Because they're in alignment with his desires. And what are his desires? To see the kingdom of heaven advance on earth. That was Christ's purpose. He came to do the will of father. And he came to spread the good news of the kingdom. to all those who believe. He came for sinners. He often dined with sinners. He was our great physician that came because he knew that we were sick and needed a savior. He didn't come for those that didn't think they need saving. He came for those of us who grabbed hold of the hem of his garment and never let go. He gave me the courage to grab hold of his garment. He changed me, set me free, broke every chain of addiction, shame, guilt, you name it. He delivered me from it. He's ready to do the same for you. Will you let him? Will you let him be your protector? Will you surrender to him, to the call he's placed on your life? Will you trust in him? Will you trust in him? That's what he's saying to you today. Will you trust me? Not just anyone you trust when you're in the middle of a battle. People have failed you before, but you can trust in Jesus. He'll be there for you. God's our protector. God's our protector. God's our protector. Just sit in his peace for a minute. Many of you have weathered many, many storms. And you're tired. But what does the word of God say when we're tired? Isaiah forty thirty one. We can soar aloft like an eagle. He's with us. When we grow tired. He's with us. We can run. without growing tired, walk without fainting. Jeremiah, twenty-nine, eleven. He wants to give us a hope and a future. For I know the plans I have for you, to prosper you, to keep you. I know the scripture. The word of God is your anchor in every storm, in every storm. When we talk about a rear guard in relation to the Bible, it refers to God acting as a protector who guards from behind, not just leading from the front. He has our back. We have a comprehensive protection. God is everywhere. God is omnipresent everywhere. We have the Spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God living inside of us. The Holy Spirit's with us everywhere, always speaking to us. Christ is always interceding for us. We're seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus because He's in us and we're in Him. We're already positioned from a place of victory, no matter what battle we face. But do we see it? Do we know it? Do we walk in it? Well, we have to remember to, right? As blow after blow comes our way, we have to remember to speak to those storms and say, peace, be still. We also know that we get rest and security. When we have our rear guard of protection, when we know that God has our back, that he's always with us. It says this concept offers assurance and peace, signifying that God is actively involved in every part of our journey, both leading the way and protecting from behind. All of those can be meanings of a rear guard. of a rear guard, of a protector. Let's look to God's word to where it talks about a rear guard so that we can rest in the promises of God's word and draw strength from the truth. So when we look at, let's start with Exodus. Exodus fourteen, nineteen through twenty. And I'm reading out of the Life Application Study Bible, the New International Version. It says, Then the angel of God, who had been traveling in front of Israel's army, withdrew and went behind them. The pillar of cloud also moved from in front and stood behind them, coming between the armies of Egypt and Israel. Throughout the night, the cloud brought darkness to the one side and light to the other side. So neither went near the other all night long. They were protected. by the angel of the Lord. They were protected. You're protected now. You may not see it. You may have a hard time believing it, but angels are encamped about you. They're all around, ensuring we don't even dash our foot against a stone. What does it say in Psalm ninety-one? Let's keep going. Let's look at Isaiah fifty-two, twelve to fifteen. I'm reading out of the complete Jewish Bible. And actually, I think I'm going to start around nine. Break out into joy. Sing together, you ruins of Jerusalem. For Adonai has comforted his people. He has redeemed Jerusalem. Adonai has bared his holy arm in the sight of every nation. And all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God. Leave, leave, get out of here. Get out of there, I should say. Don't touch anything unclean. Get out from inside it and be clean. You who carry Adonai's temple equipment, you need not leave in haste. You do not have to flee for Adonai will go ahead of you and the God of Israel will also be behind you. He'll also be behind you. He has your back. He's your rear guard. Wow. He's your rear guard. Now let's look at Isaiah, Isaiah, because who's our ultimate deliverer from all trouble, from all affliction, all disease, all spiritual poverty, physical poverty, everything. That's Jesus. By his work done on the cross, he shed his blood so that we could live abundantly. So that we could have the keys to the kingdom. He overcame death, rose again. Wow. He set us free from the curse of the law. He brought with Him reconciliation, redemption for all who believe upon Him and call upon His name, Jesus, and call upon His name. I invite you, if you don't know Jesus and you don't know where you're going when you die, that you seek Jesus, ask Him to be Lord and Savior of your life. Ask them to forgive your sins. Believe they're forgiven. Forgive yourself. And ask them to come into your heart, to be the Lord and Savior of your heart, to give you a heart and mind of Christ, to make you fresh and new, knowing that he died on the cross, was the Son of God, rose again, is coming back for you, fully God, fully man, And through his resurrection, you've been given life. He's seated in heavenly places to the right of the Father, looking over you. His spirit of truth lives within you as a believer. And you can say, Holy Spirit, come live inside of me, make me fresh and new. Jesus, I just want your spirit in me, guiding me into all truth. Believe it by faith. And just how you believe on Jesus by faith. You believe the Holy Spirit lives inside of you by faith. And then he's with you now. And you call on his name in times of trouble. When I don't know something, I just say, Holy Spirit, help me. Help me, Holy Spirit. Guide me into all truth. That's why praying in tongues is very important in receiving that gift. Because it's your prayer language. It's not corruptible. And you speak spirit to spirit. without your flesh weighing in. There's intercession made because a lot of times you don't even know what to pray for or how to pray for someone, how to pray for yourself even. So I just start praying in tongues and it edifies me. It builds me up. And the more you practice it, the easier it comes. Don't fear those gifts and stepping out in faith. Perfect love casts out all fear. You get enough of the word of God in you. And you're going to scale that mountain. Mark eleven, twenty-two to twenty-five. You get to speak to those mountains. Cast them into the sea. You get to step into abundant life. You just have to believe it. to receive it. Let's look at Isaiah fifty-three. Who believes our report? To whom is the arm of Adonai revealed? For before him he grew up like a young plant like a root out of dry ground. He was not well-formed or especially handsome. We saw him, but his appearance did not attract us. People despised and avoided him. A man of pains, well acquainted with illness, like someone from whom people turn their faces. He was despised. We did not value him. In fact, it was our diseases he bore. our pains from which he suffered, yet we regarded him as punished, stricken and afflicted by God, because he was wounded because of our crimes. He was wounded because of our crimes, crushed because of our sins. The disciplining that makes us whole fell on him, and by his bruises we are healed. We all like sheep went astray. We turned each one to his own way. Yet Adonai laid on him the guilt of all of us. That's talking about Christ, his death on the cross. We basically were handed the death penalty because of our sins. But Jesus came and gave us a pardon. He set us free and gave us abundant life. I would have to say he has had our backs then, still has our back now, and truly bore on his back many, many stripes. He bled out for us so we could live, so we could live. I would say that's an ultimate example of the rear guard. He laid down his life for us, for his sheep. Was totally obedient to the will of Abba Father. Such a good warrior, good soldier. He followed his orders, his commands, even unto death. Wow. Wow. Wow. When you realize how much Christ did for us, how his love abounds even now for us, truly changes you. Love transforms. Love heals. Love breaks the yoke of bondage off of God's people. So strive to have love in your heart, the love of Jesus. Have him transform you layer by layer. layer by layer and draw strength from him during the trials that you face. And know God has you. He is your rear guard of protection, your covering. He does have your back. God has your back so much that he sent his only begotten son to die so you could live. What father does that? What father does that? The Bible is full of examples of bravery with those that have encountered the presence of the Lord. One moment in the presence changes everything. Are you struggling to know peace now? Are you struggling to lift out of your depressive state? Turn to Jesus. Let him be your guide. Let him be your guide. He's waiting. He's waiting on us to call out to him. We must never lose our relationship with Jesus. We must never stop relying on the Holy Spirit to guide us. For in our weakness, He's strong. When we let go of pride and let go of ego, let go of the way we believe things should be, And instead, we become fully surrendered to God and His will being done and using us as a vessel, using us as a tool to accomplish His will on earth, recognizing that's why we were born, to do the will of Father. Heaven is our home. Earth is just a place that we were put to carry out an assignment to do God's will, a training ground, a place to where we grow into the qualities that we need to have the character of Christ. Look at earth as your training ground. so that you can resemble Christ in all that you do. And when you resemble Christ, when you strive to walk with the love, the compassion, the humility that made Christ who He was, when you strive to be that kind of leader, you can transform a city and nation and a world We should all want to be like Jesus. We should all want to be like Jesus. Are you wanting to be like Jesus? If you've never invited him into your heart, I want you to do that now. I want you to say, Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Make me fresh and new. I repent of all my sins. Forgive me. Wash me clean. Purify me. Cleanse me of all unrighteousness. And with this prayer, I've invited you into my heart to be Lord and Savior, to rule over my flesh, to rule in my heart so that I can be like you, Jesus. And I want your Holy Spirit to come inside of me, to guide me each day into all truth i surrender everything i have and i come under your lordship jesus and with this prayer i know that i've been saved i know your holy spirit lives inside of me and i know i'm a part of the family of believers welcome to the family if you pray that prayer don't hesitate to reach out to reflectivespacesministry.com let me know i'll send you some materials You can scan the barcode. And you can walk from a place of victory. And you can have the best rear guard. The best protector. The one who will never leave you nor forsake you. The one who will always have your back. You can have that when you follow Lord Jesus. When you know that God is with you, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our precious Lord Jesus, that he's with you, fighting for you. Angels are encamped about you and the angel of the Lord goes with you. Rest on those promises today. Walk in his light of truth. knowing you're protected, go out there and take territory for the kingdom of God. Go into places you never thought you would walk into and walk into them with courage, with no fear, knowing that no harm will come now thy dwelling and that you are protected by God almighty, by God almighty. Wow. That's powerful. Before I close, I want to read Romans eight, twenty eight to thirty nine. Romans eight, twenty eight to thirty nine. Romans eight, twenty eight to thirty nine. I'm going to be reading again out of the complete Jewish Bible. And I just love Romans eight. I know many of you love Romans eight. Well, I love all the Bible, but I really love Romans eight. So let's go. Yeah. Romans eight, twenty eight to thirty nine. Furthermore, we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according with his purpose. Because those whom he knew in advance, he also determined in advance will be conformed to the pattern of his son so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. And those whom he thus determined in advance, he also called. And those whom he called, he also caused to be considered righteous. And those whom he calls to be considered righteous, he also glorified. What then are we to say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? I say it again. If God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare even his own son, but gave him up on behalf of us all. Is it possible that having given us his son, he would not give us everything else too? So who will bring charge against God's chosen people? Certainly not God. He is the one who causes them to be considered righteous, who punishes them. Certainly not the Messiah Yeshua who died and more than that has been raised, is at the right hand of God and is actually pleading on our behalf. Who will separate us from the love of the Messiah? Trouble, hardship, persecution, hunger, poverty, danger, war? As the tank puts it, for your sake, we are being put to death all day long. We are considered sheep to be slaughtered. No, in all these things, we are super conquerors through the one who has loved us. We have the victory. Those things will never separate us from the love of the Messiah. Nothing will separate us from his love. Nothing. we have the victory. Know in all these things we are super conquerors through the one who has loved us. For I'm convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor other heavenly rulers, neither what exists nor what is coming, neither powers above nor powers below nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God which comes to us through the Messiah Yeshua our Lord. Nothing will separate you from the love of Jesus. Nothing. There's nothing that will separate you. Nothing. You've been transformed by him. Made into a new creature. Given a new way of life. Now you need to accept it. Walk in it. Let him mold you layer by layer. and transform you into little Jesus is walking around doing the father's will, advancing the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven. That's the message he has for you today. That's the message he has for you today. God bless you. God keep you. May his light shine upon you. And may you draw strength from his wellspring of living water, never to thirst again. And may you eat of the bread of life, never to hunger again. He's with you, protecting you, guiding you, and supplying for you your needs. He's a good father. He's a good, good father. He's a good, good father. Rest in him. Let his peace that surpasses all understanding overtake you now as you rest in his healing, drawing strength from him and being shaped and molded into all he has for you. Glory be to Jesus. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, everyone, for listening. God bless you and keep you. God bless you and keep you. God bless you and keep you.
